Address
Neighborhood: District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

Didn't know what to expect. We started the game without any clew what we had to do but that's just part of the experience. The less you know about it in advance the better the experience.

A must do in Budapest. We were very happy that finished the game just in time...

This game was great! My husband and I did it as a couple. I was a little apprehensive at first, but once you get locking in it is time to sink our swim. The sign up processes a little cryptic, but that just helps to set the mood. The challenge is doable, but we were fortunate to be allowed a little extra time, which we needed, and got out.

If you are looking for something different to do this is it. It would be great fun for older kids too. We loved this game.

Remember those 'Choose Your Own Adventure' books? This is kind of like that except real life and way better. This is probably one of the best things I've done in my life aside from the time I went swimming with whale sharks. If I had to make a top two list of everything I've done in my life it would be 1) Swimming with Whale Sharks and 2) Claustrophilia. I can't put the third best thing I've ever done in my life on this list because it's illegal. But enough about me, this is an experience that should not be missed.

We went to Claustrophilia because all the positive reviews in TripAdvisor.
we were in Budapest for 6 days, and at the last day we booked the Voodoo room.
we were very disappointed, the task are very technical (find keys and numbers to unlock the locks)
we paid 6000 HUF (about 20 Euro) for 2 people, it's a lot of money for one hour, consider that you are in Budapest (everything is cheap there) there is many other great things to do with so much money.
It wasn't exiting as everyone said, you need to see well in the dark, and realized simple things, and if you don't you can use the "walky talky" and you will get all the help that you need.
this attraction is by far over rated and much over priced... maybe would be ok for a family with kids if they want to spend a lot of money and get the kids busy... otherwise, save your money and the wasted hour and do something else in this beautiful city

We walked for ages trying to find this place as there is no address and not even the shop underneath had heard of it. Eventually found a little buzzer in a complex and were told they were booked up. Very unhelpful and wouldn't tell us where the other similar games were. Not very happy

Dear Haynah, We are sorry you couldn't play the game. As you can see on our homepage and in a lot of comments here, you have to book online, in advance. You didn't contact us, didn't book a game. Actually we don't really understand why you had so many difficulties to find the place: you can find the exact adress and the Goggle map of our two games on our homepage. In addition to that, every person who books a game recieves an email with the instructions for further steps. We would like you to understand that your review is not about us or about our game and as you didn't booked and didn't participated to any of our games, it gives fake rating about our game to people. Please think about that. Claustrophilia team

My wife and I escaped in under 50 minutes, but we already did 2 escape rooms before so we understood the idea.
For a new escsper, I'd recommend going to other escape rooms first, to get more explanations.
This room is located in an old building which gives it a great old vibe.
The riddles are straight forward with nothing out of the ordinary, but still challenging and fun.

Claustrophilia was so much fun, an hour very well spent and not too expensive either. I've never come across anything like this before so I had no idea what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. There were two of us and we got stuck in the first room so we didn't expect to get very far, but we eventually figured it out clue by clue, and in the end we only had one more clue to uncover and we would've finished. Great fun and well worth the money, if you're in the area i'd definitely book it.

Really surprised how good fun this was, the hour flys by. Is a lot tougher than I expected as well. One tip the game starts as soon as you enter the door after the stairs....don't sit there for ten minutes like us lol.

After reading about escape rooms in Budapest online, we decided to book Claustraphillia's Wicklewood Herritage room and were not sure exactly what to expect. We were not dissapointed- the experience was amazing- from the mysterious setting to the puzzles themselves. Booking was easy and we thought the game was good value compared to other similar rooms in Budapest, plus there's a discounted rate if there are only two of you, which was great. The whole experience was brilliant, we thoroughly enjoyed (and managed to escape!) so much that we then booked the Vodoo room the next day. This was also great, but would recommend the Wicklewood room out of the two. Great way to spend an hour!

I booked into Claustrophilia on Monday, I'm afraid I'm still here. I don't want to give the game away about the layout of the building but if anyone knows the way out of the third room could you please message me with a clue as the battery on the iPad is about to die out and I have about four hours before the flight departs.

In all seriousness, this was really good fun. A lot of the tasks were well thought out and took a bit of brain so work our way through it. I'd recommend it if you fancy doing something a little different, for an hour of your time I don't think you'll regret it.
