Neighborhood: District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

If you like your Rockabilly/Rock'n'Roll this is the place to be. First found it Summer of '08 and keep going back. Run by three brothers, atmosphere is great, friendly, very reasonable prices. Live music [most] Friday and Saturday nights, September to June. First two years went in the Summer, so only piped music. Large selection of 50's items and photos of Rock'n'Roll stars. 2012 went in September, the place rocked. Excellent live [Hungarian] bands, large very friendly crowd, made very welcome and many new friends. Has an excellent multi-national reputation and many English speakers. Don't be put off by many of the bands singing in Hungarian, listen to the music, the International sound, and grasp the fervour of the fans there. The music is mainly Rockabilly based, given that it was mainly unheard of until the fall of the "Iron Curtain", so Stray Cats influenced. Entrance fee for the cellar bar, when live music playing, but at a very reasonable rate, all other times free admission.

Cool bar in Budapest. A must if you're into rockabilly and rock’n’roll. Didn’t know they only took cash, so had to run to the nearest atm, but they are everywhere👌

Not many tourists around, so the prices are very fair. Concerts at weekends, entrance fee about 3 € if there's live music, otherwise free. Good palce to go out if you are in your 30's, since the people there are a bit older then in other clubs. Great atmosphere.

Probably one of the best bars ever been to , on any holiday or city break. Have been to Budapest 4 times, and this is always the first place I visit...(and usually the last) great staff, and the music is so much fun...great bands, good dancing too....love this place, and the Hungarian people are friendly and beautiful..

This is definitely the place in Budapest for Rockabilly fans to go to. Great small friendly bar on the ground floor with lots of Rock n Roll photos and memorability. Down in the basement they have hold live gigs with live bands every Friday & Saturday. The bar is at the beginning of Harsfa U. just off of Rakoczi U. just 5 minutes walk from the number 4 & 6 trams.

We stumbled along this pub, very easy to find as there are signs for this on the street and the outside lights are amazing. Inside you will find a lot of elvis gear on the walls. You can also play pool for free downstairs. One of the managers is very nice and could speak part English. He offered us a shot of gin and a little tonic. Spent a lot of money. Not the cheapest bar, but worth a visit.

Don't ever step in to this bar! The staff member is harrashing clients at the bar. He is drunk as hell. He threw a full bear and wine at me while serving them. The worst experience of my life.

If you can appreciate the good rock and roll music, you're set in this bar. The music is on point with the joint. The bar staff are such lovely people and so are the clientele.

The cocktails are to-die-for. Pina Colada and the Long Island Ice Tea were my favourite. Also, the nachos are great.

Come here for a good time, don't come if you can't handle good times.

10/10 greatest bar in Budapest.
