I was by myself for a conference, so I signed up for a 7mile/11km Riverbank Run with Adam. I am not a very serious runner, but love to see the sites and be outside while getting a little exercise. Adam was absolutely fabulous--very accommodating to my pace, and an excellent tour guide as well. It went so fast, because I was engrossed in hearing about Budapest's history and culture. He's a fun guide, a true local, and obviously knows his stuff. It was really special to get to see some scenic spots that the tourists don't normally get to see, as well. I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone!

Adam was a terrific guide – and a running tour is the best way to see a city! He helped customize my tours so it fit my pace and city highlights. So glad that I booked two tours – it’s well worth it to get some miles in and see an amazing city!

I am a frequent runner and when I travel I usually take my running shoes with me. As I was travelling with my wife (she is not a runner, so, this was a kind of a individual activity) I asked if it was possible to schedule this tour for the early morning - 7:30 am - there was no problem about it. This was the first time I booked a guided run tour, previsously I used to define a route based on the attractions and then simply run (alone) through it.
This was, in fact, a wonderful experience.
In the "running" perspective, no problems about the pace: it is defined naturally by the tour itself. In the "cultural" perspective, I had the opportunity to view some of the main attractions, in a very beautiful route and with many interesting facts about each of the places we were running through. Adam is a very friendly guy and turned this tour into a very fun one: his passion for the city is visible, but also his deep knowledge about the monuments, the daily life, many of the pratical aspects that are important for someone like me who was spending 4 or 5 days visiting the city. It was nice, also, that the tour started and ended in the hotel where I was.
I definitely reccommend these tours.
Thanks again Adam & Running tours Budapest

We really enjoyed this tour and I would definitely recommend to runners of any ability. Adam, our guide, met us at our hostel for our convenience before a 9 mile Riverbank Tour at 9am. When booking the tour and on the run, he took into consideration what we had already seen and what we wanted to see in order to plan and adapt the route. He allowed us to change the pace and pause whenever needed, and planned in places to refill water bottles and use toilets. We saw many sights but also learnt a lot about their history and significance as he was very knowledgeable. On top of this, Adam chatted to us along the way about running and in general! Really great experience and way to see the city, and definitely value for money with a personal guide!

Lidia is not only a runner. She really knows about history, is a talkative and pleasant guide. She offers you help with everything you need in the city. Lidia taught me a lot about historical and economical aspects of the country.

hi ! we landed 12 am and 8 am already Adam from Running tours met us outside out hotel. He gave us a 2 hour full running tour of the city - he was great ! nice, informative, funny with info on the city and tips and cool places to hang out ( and in any big city you need to know where to go). For both of us, who love to run, this was a great way to start our vacation - a cool overview of the city ! we loved it and think everyone - runners and non ( do the short 5 k or even a long 20 k) should consider it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Shady Budapest tour. Ester and Lidia were terrific hosts who put together an interesting and enjoyable evening. The course they mapped out showed us a part of the city we would have never learned about and they shared some good stories along the way. The tour finished with a really great dinner at the "gypsy" restaurant and whole group had a good time. We highly recommend the Shady Budapest tour to anyone visiting the city.

Absolutely fantastic running tours of Budapest. The Shady Budapest tour was a definite highlight. We were able to see and experience a non touristy side of the city. Our guide Eszter was extremely informative and charismatic. She made arrangements for the group to have dinner at a Roma restaurant which she explained is part of an integration project. We enjoyed the tour so much, we did the must see tour our last night in Budapest. If you like running and learning more about the history and people of Budapest, this is the best way to experience it.

We spent our first morning in Budapest running with Adam (Heroes Square Tour). It was an awesome way to start our trip. Adam is very knowledgeable about the history of his town. We stopped many times to take pictures and to learn about the places were were running around. Adam added time at the end of our run to show us his recommended places to eat, drink, and buy coffee. He also followed up with an email with additional tips for our stay in Budapest.
Thank you, Adam, for an amazing morning!

This is my second time taking this tour - this time I took the MUST SEE tour with my sisters and brother-in-law. We all love to run but none of us are great or fast runners. That did not matter. Adam our guide adjusted the pace so we could all really enjoy the tour. We got to see the city at an early hour when the streets and main tourists spots are still empty and got some really interesting stories and explanations from Adam. Highly recommended.
