707 reviews
Take in the illuminated highlights of Budapest during an evening cruise on the Danube River, which gives you some of the best opportunities to snap photos of the city's top landmarks lit up. Float past the UNESCO World Heritage–listed riverbanks in a glass-enclosed boat, toasting the sights with an included beverage (alcoholic or nonalcoholic). Highlights include the Chain Bridge, the Buda Castle District, the Hungarian Parliament, and others, which are all put into context with onboard film and audio guides available in multiple languages.

This was an unexpectedly enjoyable visit to the distillery where they still make Unicum. The tour comprises watching a film about the Zwack family, seeing the huge storage barrels, wandering around a nicely displayed museum and of course a couple of tastes of Unicum. Our guide was the doppelgänger of British comedian Joe Lycett. You can catch Tram 2 from the centre of Pest direct to the distillery.

Do you enjoy learning how things are made? Do you enjoy a bit of history? Do you enjoy a bit of nostalgia? Then this fairly short tour is for you. And they give samples! Not a tour for kids.

This is not our first visit to Budapest, and we decided to go and tour this museum, we always bring back with us an Unicum bottle and usually the plum one, but lately we really fell in love with their new flavor which is basically some Unicum aged in Tokay drums, fantastic, anyway if you are in Budapest go and check out this museum 1 hour well spend and taste it, it is very smooth.....lovely smooth.

I visited Zwack Visitor's Centre in September in 2019 with my collegues from Hungary and from abroad too. We had a great 2 hours of visiting the three-storied exhibition with a short documentary film about the Zwack family and firm, and many objects and documents, photos about the famous Hungarian "medicinal liqueur", Zwack Unicum. In the distillatory we had the chance to taste 3 types of Unicums - they were extraordinary, especially the one with plum. The guide was very friendly, he told us interesting stories. After it we had dinner in the Centre's restaurant with Hungarian specialities, all of them was really tasty and good. It was an interesting trip for me as a Hungarian citizen as well too; visit and see a family firm like this, how they rised, survived and succeed through the decades of history.
