It's your typical racecourse, with your typical punters. Pleasant surrounds. See the statue of Kinscem, and keep loading up on the favourites. Not too far from Arena Mall and Keleti station. Racing on Saturdays and Sundays for much of the year.

You don't have to be a gambler to enjoy this place. Nice setting and horses. During the season there are races on Saturdays and Sundays. Worth to visit with small children as well as there is a nice playground.

We went here on a Sunday afternoon and had a really good time . Although it was made easier due to my Hungarian speaking brother-in-law I think I would have managed in English. Not expensive and managed two winners. On the Friday night we also...More

It was a nice program to see the races, galloping. The field was nice and modern. It is also a nice program for a rainy day. I guess this day-out trip was pretty much undervalued among foreigers and locals but once you got there, you...More

Hi, I'm heading to Budapest from the 7th-12th September. Will there be any race events at Kincsem park over these dates? Also, is the track similar to a UK track (in terms of bars, gambling etc)? Thanks, Charlie

Food Truck Festival (6 Replies)
Morning, I've stumbled across some info regarding a food truck festival at Kincsem Park at the start of May. Looks like this is a racecourse. Anyone ever been? Are there horse races on the days too? Struggling to find English info on the parks website and wondering if it will be a fun day out. Appreciate your help.

Food Truck festivals happen a couple times a year, there was one last August when we were in Budapest also at the race track. We did not attend. Also the weekend that the Opera House Opens there were horse races at Hero Square and some food trucks. From the start of Andrassy Utca up to the Opera House the street was lined with Food Trucks on Both sides. Last year it was the weekend of September 17th, 2016. I don't know of a food truck festival in May as I have never been in Budapest that time...More
hotel close to Kincsem Park (7 Replies)
Hi im thinking of coming to Budapest in August to see Madonna at Kincsem Park. Is this easy to get to from the city centre? What would be a good hotel closest to the park?

The venue is easy to get to by public transportation (red line metro), so I would suggest you do yourself a favor and book accomodations in the central Pest so you can enjoy the city as well as the show. That area is more residential with a lot of big box retail (Tesco, IKEA, etc) and not very interesting.
