Come to one of the famous ruin pubs in the center of Budapest and discover that Fogasház is much more than just a place to party.We’d like to give you various leisure and pleasure activities. We give space for theaters for rehearsal and stages, contemporary art galleries, civil lectures and debates. We have film clubs, flea market and of course parties at night. We now planning on opening the first ruin vine bar in Budapest.You can find the Lomography shop, Fogaskerékpár a bike rental and repair shop, and a pizzeria in the house of Fogasház.

Me and my friend came here on a Saturday night and it took us over 45 minutes to get in and once we had, everyone was very rude and shovey! This place was so busy you could hardly move and the bar staff were very rude, it was not made clear until getting to the bar that they were all cash only so we had to pay 1600 HUF to get cash out.
A new group of friends joined us and insisted going again the Sunday night, to my surprise it was loads better, I think maybe the over crowding of a Saturday night forced everyone in there to be rude.... if you are looking to go here I suggest saving it for any day other than a Saturday

TERRIBLE VENUE
We took a 50/50 after reading the reviews , The bouncers and bar staff are so rude and hate the English really would not recommend do not listen to the good reviews I promise . Asked for two vodka cokes got charged more than the menu was saying and couldn’t taste any vodka . Honest review

We came here thinking it was going to be a good club because of the different floors and music. First coming in the club the smell was unpleasant and the place was very dirty, the ‘techno’ music floor was very deceiving as it was basically horrible dubstep remixes of outdated songs, the queues for drinks were ridiculous consider they have 18 bars as the bartenders service was so slow and rude. Most importantly don’t leave your drinks laying about or always make sure you look after your drinks in your hands as it will get spiked, there has been many reviews that the security is strict but clearly not strict enough to prevent from people endangering others lives by spiking them with god knows drugs. I definitely would not recommend this club to anyone and think there are so many other nearby clubs you could go to that would be much more worth it.

We almost didn't get in in the first place because one of the bouncers had a problem with my friend. We showed them our bags and everything and they still didn't want to let us in, they didn't even say why! One of the Hungarians behind us in the queue spoke to them and they let us in in the end. I still have no idea what happened there but they were incredibly rude and didn't speak English or at least pretended they don't. The music and the space inside is pretty good, you can choose from different rooms with different styles of music. However, the staff behind the bar is no better than the bouncers; we ordered our drinks and they overcharged, when I told them the price is not right they were annoyed, no apoogies or anything. Wouldn't go back.

We came here twice on our trip to Budapest. First time we came in just for a quick drink before heading back for the night. The lady behind the bar was horrifically rude when we were ordering drinks and again when we were paying. It wasn’t as if she was busy (we were the only people at the bar), we tried to start a friendly conversation and she near enough laughed in our faces and told us to F off!!
Despite this experience, we decided to try again for a proper night out. Once again, staff (this time different members) were rude. My friend had to ask 3 members of staff where the smoking area was only to be grunted at, not one of them made sure he knew what they had responded.
We all work in the industry and understand how tiring and stressful it can be, but given the reviews on here it seems the place is obsessed with saying bad service is a ‘one off’ and they will refrain staff according to reviews but it must just be lies. They don’t care if you have a good night or not - shame, because the building itself and the music was really quite good, just dreaded going to the bar to get a drink as didn’t know what attitude we would be met with!

Would not recommend, the place feels sketchy although it supposed to be one of the best clubs in the city, the music was the worst (outdated songs, bad remixes and every song lasts for an eternity).
The bartenders weren’t that nice and people there WILL spike your drinks so be sure to ALWAYS hold your cup.
If I were you I would stay far away from this place..

Visited here as part of a party of 10. Although it was early and very quiet buying a round of 6 drinks seemed to be a big effort to work out for the staff. Having followed signs for seating and sat for approx 20 mins we were then asked to leave this area as it was apparently closed! We were moved into the cold courtyard area where we finished our drinks. When buying drinks a deposit is required for the plastic containers. On returning these we were told one person could only return 2 at once despite being given 6 on buying the round. To make matters worse on returning these we were accused of bringing a container from another bar! Why would we do this? The bar wasn’t busy at this time and the staff really should have remembered serving us! In addition to this the ladies toilets were in a poor state (and this was at the start of their evening) with no soap, toilet roll or any method of drying hands. This is most definitely the most unwelcoming bar in Budapest and I would not recommend a visit.

Literally the worst staff I’ve ever seen. I'm an Irish person visiting Budapest for a few days and we packed up and left this venue after the service we received. The barmaid serving me threw a tantrum when I asked to use my pre-paid Instant plastic cups (normal in Budapest) and when I made light of her antics she said she wouldn't serve me and sat in a sulk on a chair nearby. We were the only customers in her entire section of the bar. The worst behaviour I've ever seen in a bar - pathetic. Also you're led to believe the whole club is free, but most of it charges before 10pm and then it takes until 11pm to get going. Cool spaces but really not worth the hype. Give it a miss and go to another excellent ruin bar nearby. This place is a load of rubbish.

Pubcrawls or organisations would take you there, most probably they take commissions. At the entrance the security guide would be so rude to you if you don't have a European look. A guy who has a shaved head even made an impression of people. He even literally pushes people just because he thinks he can. I won't even tell how he reacts to my friend who is a black guy. Don't support this place, they don't even offer a good service and the stuff are mean.

The bar itself is fun. Lots of rooms and different areas to drink.
The staff are horrendous, sitting on their phones behind the bar while customers line up.
Security sat watching YouTube videos while people waited to get in.
The bar staff automatically placed a tip on every drink order without even mentioning it to us. All they did was open a fridge and hand a bottle to us...
