When in Budapest, be sure to see the Danube via foot both day and night. Also, be sure to take the public transportation that goes along the Danube to also enjoy the view from the bus. Then walk to Liberty Statue - also rated - and see the view from the top.

The Danube runs right through Budapest and dominates views from Buda Castle. It is lovely to stroll along the banks and admire the city from the river bank. It is particularly beautiful to walk alongside the river at night when the building and bridges are all lit up.

The Danube is a lovely wide stretch of water with a great history. Did a short river cruise which was great as the buildings on each side had a story and a contrast. 😎

We took the last daytime cruise, which I would highly recommend as the return leg is highlighted by everyplace being lit up which throws a completely different perspective on the sides. The commentary was very gentle without dictation from the narrator, there was one for each side of the river, male & female so we instinctlvely turned to the correct... More

Sailing at night is recommended, so enriching their view the main attractions amazingly bright, you can find a lot of offers to sail, including lunch or including drinking, you should do a survey about the quality of the ship and refreshments served.

Danube is a really nice river you should visit and enjoy the silence and good feeling of flowing water. It's highly recommended to take a cruise, specially in the evening which would be really eye catching

A truly lovely city, very picturesque and truly gorgeous. Visit the the New York cafe which is meant to be the best cafe in the world and also visit the synagogue too. Transport is very cheap and the food is great.

I visited the Danube River in March. Perhaps in other seasons the water in the river is more transparent, but not in March. I recommend to go for a ride on the river by boat, there are many of them at the pier.

You can see both side's sightseeing via the cruise (without walking). :) Price is pretty reasonable. A good try!
