Nice bath, but everything is confusing
As a non-hungarian speaker, the bath was hard to find and navigate. The entrance is hidden behind gates with little to no signage, and the signs inside are also sparse. We got the experience for free thorough the "Budapest plus card", which is the only reason we went here instead of the Szechenyi Baths. However, we had a nice experience. The Lukacs Bath is on the smaller side, with 4 pools inside varying in temperature from 24-40C. There are also two swimming pools outside (24-26C), but you have to wear a swimming cap to use those. At last, there is a heated pool outside (36C), but it is quite difficult to find, so you probably have to ask someone (If you find the outdoor swimming pools, keep going right). The lockers are free to use, and the locker rooms are mixed gender with small changing cabins inside. The showers were gender seperated and also had small shower cabins, so no public shower. All in all, we had a great time, and would recommend going here, if you have the patience to figure out the floor plan.

    Hidden gem
Came to this thermal bath as we found the main ones quite expensive and overcrowded. It wasn’t the easiest place to find but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Beautiful baths, good facilities and plenty on offer. Very pretty when lit up at night. The baths indoors were beautiful but very crowded. We are glad we went here rather than the more tourist-based ones. Prices were very reasonable - around £10 per adult.

    Local baths
These baths are frequented by locals mostly but also a few tourists. The place is a bit harder to figure out at first but once you get to know the place it just becomes natural. It was a very pleasant day with 4 thermal spas with different temperatures and some other outside pools. Let yourself explore the pool and book yourself some treatments to complete the experience!

Great experience a must do in Budapest.
We visited today as a family 3 adults and a 14 year old. It was easy to find the building as there was steam coming out the top, however there was no signage on the door but we managed it. It cost 16200 HUF which is about £37.50 for us all including 1 changing room to share. We all got a wrist band and 1 was yellow for opening the changing cubicle. Don’t forget flip flops and a swimming cap / shower cap if using the swimming pools. ( there are 2 which need a cap) We found the lockers by going up to the 2nd floor we all got changed and left the clothes in the 1 changing room. This was lockable with the wristband. We visited the outdoor thermal pool which was 36 degrees. Just next to this was a sauna and plunge pool with an ice box. Inside and upstairs 2 flights was the thermal indoor pools. 1 was 32 degrees, another 36 and another 40 with a hot spring to drink from. There was also a steam room and a sauna. There was also another plunge pool at 20 degrees. We went on a Thursday at 11am and it was busy but plenty off room. There were showers and hairdryers for once you had had enough. We got soft drinks, coffee and beer in the cafe. We stayed about 3 hours in total. It was smelly but to be expected with the water being thermal from a spring, but the place was clean it was an old building with character.

Spa like the locals in Budapest
Spent a wonderful afternoon in this modernised early 20th century thermal bath and spa, built in Moorish style. This is a special Budapest experience. No pressure to be body beautiful. Not as ornate or large as some other spas but less crowded and better value. Outdoor swimming pool, rooftop and poolside sunbathing, hot spring baths, cold plunge, steam room and sauna. Smart wristband gains access to locker. You will feel relaxed and soft-skinned for days afterwards. Top tip: swimming costume, towel, swimming cap and slippers required - save money and take your own or buy from a ‘bazaar’ store in advance. Take a plastic bottle, drinking water is available on tap.

    Lukacs A Fun Place
What a fun place! To all those who have complained about location, slippers/flip flops/towels, etc, do the research! You will need a bathing cap for the pools as well....they're 2 for $6 on Amazon and we saw a few folks with hotel shower caps as well. For a very few dollars more, we took a cabin, but it was a bit confusing to get into. The desk clerk walked up a flight of stairs to assist us. You need to swipe your wristband on a screen as you enter the cabin area, at which point you are assigned a cabin number. We didn't find it difficult to go into any of the pools or various warm water spots scattered about the facility. Just wander about, you'll find them. Isn't that what travel is about anyways? My favorite spot was the steam room at 50C. Adjacent to it is a pool at 20C. Trust me, that'll wake you up and cleanse those pores. I've been to the Gellert Baths and they're beautiful, but at 1/4 the cost, you get a much more local experience at Lukacs. Easily accessible from the #6 tram....just use your phone and don't complain that it's hard to find since there was a parade of folks with gym bags walking from the tram stop to the facility.

Local & Architecture Beauty: Add To Your Spa List When Visiting Budapest
I’ve visited many of the iconic thermal spas as this is a return visit to Budapest and I’m writing for Girltakesmundo .com. Lukacs Bath was a relaxing experience. You’ll enjoy outdoor pools, labyrinth of thermal spas and varios saunas scattered around this architecturally beautiful building. Bonus, check out the rooftop sun terrace to perfect your tan.

Larger Thermal Bath House, very reasonably priced and conveniently located right outside the city center
Really enjoyed the local feel of these baths. Only tried out indoor thermal baths and noticed this bath house is for locals but great after walking around Budapest for the day. Bring a towel (although you can rent one) and as with other bath houses, have smaller bills. Very conveniently located 15 - 20 minutes from the center of Budapest. Would recommend having a bathing suit for when traveling to Hungary (regardless of the time of year.)

    Warm and wonderful
We had free entry as part of a new digital Budapest City card (which I would not recommend). The baths are smaller and more local seeming. Nearly all of the folks there on a Friday morning when we arrived were pretty clearly not tourists based on language and age. The directions are, to be honest, confusing. Something that we experienced in a lot of places in Budapest. But it was really nice and basic. We enjoyed it but enjoyed our morning at Rudas even more.

It's a labyrinth, with signs/directions only in Hungarian. Just finding the shower took quite a while. Buying a towel costs a fortune and renting was not an option. I'm glad we didn't pay anything (Free entrance Included in the Budapest card) and based on the experience here, we chose not to visit any other thermal baths but rather spent our time on other activities, of which there are many.

Found it difficult to find. When we did eventually get there,we were greeted by a grumpy old lady and a foul smell in the air. Myself and my partner tried to go for a swim in one of the outdoor pools, only to be rudely whistled at and told to get out. Apparently you need to wear a swim hat, which we weren’t informed of. Think this is more a local baths for local people, look elsewhere if you’re a tourist.

I found it really hard to find my way in this building. The staff at the entrance was not friendly, the signs to the thermal baths and the rest of the facilities were misleading. Some of them were also erased. There was no one to ask for directions or even inform you for the proper use of the facilities. The number of people using the thermal baths exceeded the stated one and there was no one to control it. Saunas were very nice though. And fortunately it was a clean place.

We purchased the Budapest Card which included free admission to the Lukacs baths. It was fairly easy to cross the Danube on public transportation and the baths were a short walk up the road on the right. One walks into a large courtyard where every sign is in Hungarian. We asked a younger patron and we’re shown into the facility. There are multiple bathing pools at different temperatures. We chose several that were all inside tunnel like mazes. Unique experience for us and I would recommend it. The massages were very reasonably prices but none were available for us to try out.

We were so excited to go to a spa that wasnt to touristic. And it was a fact. English was a small problem at he counter. As well a explaining us everything. What really was a shame is that we booked and payed for a foot massage and the masseur didnt want to give it. He said leg or back, so disappointing because the leg massage wasn't good either !
