The area
Address
Neighborhood: District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

Lively Spot
Oct 2019
I got a tip from a friend to make sure I checked out this area while visiting Budapest. Very lively area, especially at night, with interesting architecture, shops and eateries. It has a market feel with connected courtyards - a hip place that will please all ages.

A hidden gem
Mar 2020
This wasn't on our list of places to visit and only fell upon it looking for food. What a find. An arcade containing quirky stalls and great bars and food. You could have a little pub crawl down the bars which all have an individual charm. Very clean, great food, lovely staff across all the places we visited. Much nicer and more comfortable than the Ruins and all in all much better.

Lively night-life
Feb 2020
It's a very popular place, especially in the evening or at night. It's located near Király, Dob and Holló street. It's a courtyard with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. When we were there it was a market, too with interestings things and handmade products. It has a special atmosphere.

Must Visit in Buda
Feb 2020
I was told by a friend about this location. It has an amazing choice of places to eat and drink and is a bit of a marketplace. Cocktail bars, italian food, hungarian food its all here. The atmosphere is also very nice. Walk up and down the passage and then decide where you want to visit. It can get very busy in the evenings.
