The zoo is close to a metro station so easy to get there. The zoo is organized into parts of the world. The price to get in was fair 2500 forinth (8€)

You MUST visit this place. Of course it is not such a big Zoo, like in Moscow (for example). But it is far more impressive. It is green, full of cool installations and pavilions. And there you can touch and hug kangaroos and walk with lemurs :)

We walked around for hours stunned by the variety of species on display . This may be the most beautiful zoo I've ever visited. Animals are well cared for. There is a stunning art nouveau elephant house, with amazing Zsolnay tile worth the ticket price just to see that...szechenyi bathes right there for a refresher after all of the walking... More

I visited this zoo today and was reduced to tears after 20minutes and had to leave. I'm so angry at myself for funding this place. The animals looked so sad, many were in tiny cages, no clean water, no shade from the sun and generally awful conditions. I thought the lions were dead. The brown bear especially was horrific. The... Very large zoo with a lot of animals to see. They have very nice buildings for animals. Don't go there if you are not having at least 3 hours free.

Got here easily on the metro. There was so much to see! Lots of school children which meant the zoo was really busy! Not much food choice for veggies, though loads of snack bars. We did get to try the Hungarian delicacy 'langos' which was fried dough with various toppings! Had a lot of fun here!

The zoo took a couple of hours to go through and only cost 2500 like... More

Budapest Zoo is without a doubt the best zoo I've ever visited, my partner said the same and she's visited some of the big American ones etc. Animal enclosures are large and the animals aren't pacing and look to be healthy and happy. Lots of really cool enclosures, the big science centre building in the middle of the park is... More
