It is a must see in Budapest. There are no many. It is worth to visit also by night and in the afternoon as well.

You probably don't need to spend very long here, but its a very impressive sight- the sheer space is enough to make you feel small and the statues are huge.

Visited as part of a cycling tour, and it is impressive to see this plaza and the various types of architecture surrounding it.

I really liked this place. It is huge and impressive. It is a bit far from city centre but don't forget to go there.

The square and memorial is much larger than I was expecting but well worth the visit nonetheless. I am glad I visited the Parliament before coming here as there are no English descriptions of who the statues are or their significance to Budapest. However, I did learn about the major ones on my tour in the Parliament.

Very big square with lots of fascinating statues and stories - you need a guide to get the best out of the visit.

If you are going to visit this huge plaza, I highly recommend that you have a tour guide with you. The tour guide will be able to explain to you how the plaza was created; who are the statues around the plaza; and their role in Hungary's history. Otherwise, it will be just a plaza you will be seeing and... More

Unfathomably large statues, presumably copper, surround a huge singular column. Well worth a visit in its own right, but even more so considering its proximity to two museums, the park, the baths & the castle. Amazing, and a great photo opportunity.
