The Opera house is currently closed for renovations and consequently you can't see the auditorium. That leaves very little open to the public and since all the tours take place at the same time it's hard to hear the commentary. There is a very short...More

we saw both budapest and vienna opera houses. But this one stands out, the guides are skilled, knowledgeable and proud of their history. Do not forget to take a guided tour, you will thank me later 😉

The Opera House is currently having major interior and exterior renovations, so while it is interesting to visit, access for visitors is restricted.
