Superb area to walk along with spectacular views of the castle and bastion on the other side. There is the very moving Shoes on The Danube. There are two famous statues in this area, The Little Princess Statue and The Girl With The Dog Statue. You can also get boat rides along The Danube.

Walking the Danube Embankment was one of the best things we did while in Budapest and we did it several times while we were there, both at night and during the day.
At night it is like a fairyland and during the day you can take in the stunning views and enjoy the artworks along the way.

Yes, this is the place to be if you enjoy superb vantage points. To walk or sit on the Korzó and just watch the views of the Buda side day or evening is a must! We do it every time we visit Budapest! Lovely statues like the girl with the dog or the painter are charming details on the stretch. Many tourists of course but it doesn’t matter, it’s the view that matters with the always charming tram no 2 hurrying by.

Beautiful views from either the Buda or Pest side of the city.
Tips: Take tram number 2 which goes along the Pest side of the Danube riverbank for a cheap way to see the panorama of Buda (It was listed as one of the 10 best tram rides in the world by National Geographic). Also, buy tickets for the regular D11 and D12 boats which are part of Budapest's public transport and are really affordable compared to organized boat cruises.

It is an amazing stop to take pictures and also seeing it from the river. So much history in this country and so much to take in, it's beautiful and spectacular. We took probably 20+ picture from many different angles.

On the first day of our visit to Budapest, because we were rested, we traveled this route, between the Chain Bridge and the Erzebeth Bridge. The view is wonderful, you see the buildings on the two banks of the Danube, you see many beautiful statues and, in general, many people who walk. I spent so much time and didn't know how time went by! Last night in Budapest, I resumed this route, but by boat. Absolutely gorgeous!

The normal walking distance from Chain Bridge to Elizebeth Bridge is around 15 minutes. Allowing time for photo-taking and enjoying the scenery around the promenade, it will take you at least an hour along this route.
