We were quite excited to have time to visit the Gallery but in the end found it disappointing. While the collection is very good, the method of display and the lighting of the works is really quite poor. Admission is very reasonable and the building...More

This gallery has a great collection covering most types of art and is housed in part of Buda castle. The art is very well displayed in large open rooms and when we visited there was a concert by a small orchestra which added to the...More

This place is housing the most famous paintings and statues by Hungarian and foreign artists. You need to take time to walk through the floors and rooms, to see this magnificent art collection.

The gallery presents lots of great art pieces, and it's located in the castle area. It looks magnificent, although it can be a bit long for kids to visit.

Interesting paintings from all eras with some truly stunning paintings in their exotic portrait section. Interesting modern period pieces as well. However, have to say that lighting is not done well so many pictures have glare which make them difficult to fully enjoy.More
