About
Independent travelers see more I offer personalized itineraries, pleasant and relaxed private tours, away from the crowd. Your interests will shape our tour, we will have time to talk about the local customs, people, history, culture and even politics. My tours are always interactive, informative and – I hope very much - enjoyable. We always start with a little discussion over the map of the city to plan the day together. I will recommend you museums, sights, events, concerts and a lot of activities for your free time after the tour. I do mainly Walking tours in the historical center, using the excellent public transport service. You can combine the different tours: a General tour with a Tasting tour, an Architecture tour with a Jewish tour, etc. I will show you MY city, what I love about it, what I think is unique and special! My tours illuminate the history of Budapest and her people - I hope very much - in an unconventional and amusing way!

Prior to a river cruise, I booked 2 half day tours with Gabriella. The first, a driving overview tour, was a wonderful introduction for my mother and daughter, who had never been to the city. We explored both Buda and Pest, and between the beauty of the city and Gabriella's enthusiasm, they also fell in love with Budapest. The following day was a treat-a walking coffee and cafe tour and it was wonderful. While I'm sure we didn't walk off all of the calories, we truly enjoyed ourselves. Gabriella was professional, prompt, engaging, and conveyed the history of her city in an honest yet loving way. I can't wait to return and visit with her again!

We had a wonderful day with Gabriella and highly recommend her as your personal guide to see the beautiful city of Budapest! we walked, took the trolly, walked some more and learned so much about history the Hungarian culture, food , monuments , both on the Pest and Buda sides of the river. She couldn't be more personable and we had a lot of fun along the way! Book her today- you will be glad you did. Thanks Gabriella! here we are for a "beverage break"! — in Budapest.

We were with Gabriella for 8 hours on Saturday January 24, 2020. It was the most amazing day. Gabriella made sure we saw every important site and landmark in Budapest. She had the day planned to maximize our time together and revised along the way to meet our requests. We learned so much history! Gabriella also gives great advice about places a tourist would never know about. It was a great combination of walking and driving and we saw everything we wanted to see-in Buda and Pest.
We cannot recommend Gabriella highly enough. We are definitely coming again and will use her again when we do.

There are several favorites of the tour but if I had to pick one it would be how Gabriella made the history come alive! It wasn’t boring whatsoever. Also she caters to the individual, of what they would like to see and how much time to spend at each place.

With Gabriella being from Budapest obviously she was familiar with all the local customs and food. In fact she took us to her favorite ice cream store and introduced us to a new flavor!

I highly recommend taking a tour with Gabriella. You will not be disappointed!

We had a group of 10 and Gabriella was absolutely fantastic. She brought us to some amazing food and wine places and also we learned so much from her about Budapest. She is extremely knowledgeable and answered any questions that we had. She went above and beyond to teach us how to get around using public transportation which was very easy once we knew what we were doing. Our entire group agreed that this tour was our favorite thing we did our entire vacation. When we return we will definitely book with Gabriella again!

Wonderful experience with a really knowledgeable guide. Speaks excellent English and obviously loves her country and the city of Budapest. Did the 4 hour tour included walking and public transport. As we were on the Buda side, we spent most of the time on the Pest side. I can’t recommend Gabriella too highly, she was so informative.

4 friends spending a week in Budapest asked Gabriella to give us a 4 hour overview tour to orient us, tell us some history, architecture, music, food tips and Jewish history. We planned to take her overview and then use that insight to plan & visit these sites during our week. Gabriella agreed to do so, met us on time and led us on a fascinating 4 hour condensed tour. We used the tips she shared during the tour and this enabled us to return in the following days and spend more time at many of the sights she pointed out. We were hopping onto trams and the metro like experienced users within a day of her tutorial. She customized her tour to exactly what we needed. At the end of our time, she left us at Prague Castle where we spent the rest of the afternoon. We felt Gabriella's love of her city and we fell in love with Budapest during our week. She is professional, warm and a very special lady. Thank you Gabriella for making our week one we will never forget. Francine, Patsy, Frankie and Judy from Canada.

We were two couples and hired Gabbi for her food tour. We not only had some fantastic tastes of Hungary, but learned so much about her city. It is clear Gabbi loves what she does and she made us feel extremely welcome. I can not recommend Gabbi enough - you will be glad you chose spend some time with Gabbi!

My husband, daughter (11 years old) and I used Gabriella for two days in February when we were in Budapest and she was fantastic!

The first day she picked us up at our hotel and took us on a half day driving tour of Budapest and really helped us get a feel for the city. She gave us lots of tips and advice and we very informative about the history and importance of many sites. Her tips for restaurants and coffee cafes were spot on.

In the evening, we did a driving tour of the city that included a traditional dinner with music and dancing out in the hills of Buda. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend this activity. I thought it might be a little touristy but we absolutely loved it and the food and wine were delicious. Overall, the evening was a great value.

The next day we did a walking tour and learned how to use the tram which will be very useful for our next visit. We found Gabriella very personable, helpful, friendly - we really felt like a valued guest and she became a friend. She loves her city and it's history that is what makes Gabby and her tour incredible. Her English is perfect and she was wonderful with my young daughter.

Were picked up from our hotel promptly in a very nice minibus and taken to a countryside inn for a folk dinner/show. Drive took quite a while due to traffic problems at that time of night and Gabriella's talk got a little repetitive. Felt that Gabriella should have been aware of this and picked us up earlier. Show was quite good but had already started by the time we arrived. We were rushed through the set dinner menu which was traditional Hungarian food and quite tasty. We had told Gabriella that a couple of people in our party had food allergies and assured they would be able to accommodate these individuals. No special considerations were made however so they couldn't eat most of the meal. Were rushed out at the end of the show (last in and first out). The night time tour after the meal was unremarkable. Our stop at the Buda Castle district was restricted due to a wine festival being set up (which we also thought Gabriella should have been aware of). We did not stop at Heroes Square or the bath house (just a long distance drive by) as outlined in the itinerary. All in all, we felt rushed through the entire night and do not feel we received the promised tour.
