Neighborhood: District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

It was just such fun and cheap too
Probably the favorite thing I visited - it was just such fun and cheap too. The Gallery is small but fantastic with a wide variety of the artists work showcasing popular shows and media. And you can touch everything too! I had a go riding the motorcycle and my mum enjoyed trying the various thrones (warning - the game of thrones chair requires you to be very skinny to sit comfortably). I think this could be great for older kids since they can get up close with the exhibits, though younger kids might find it frightening - some of the monsters were decidedly creepy

Read about this and it was just down the road from our hotel. So we went along and it's amazing. The detail is amazing, can walk around it in about 15-20 mins depends how long you want to look at each piece. Staff are friendly and cheap to see I think it cost us just under 7000 forint. Also we noticed they have axe throwing their to. Highly recommend this place to visit

    Hidden Treasure!
One of my favourite things to do when we visited Budapest. Happened to stumble across it when walking back towards our hotel. Cheap entrance. Friendly staff. Spent max of an hour here. Quite a small museum but the details of the sculptures are amazing and you can tell how much time and effort has gone into the sculptures. The background music resembled the movies which the sculptures were in. You even got the opportunity to purchase a trash metal sculpture to take back home. Definitely recommend.

    Absolute hidden gem! Highly recommended!
We recently stumbled upon the Trash Art Museum in Budapest, it's an absolute hidden gem! This unique museum showcases an incredible collection of life-sized sculptures and artwork made entirely from scrap metal and other discarded materials. It's a mind-blowing display of creativity and craftsmanship. If you're looking for something a bit different in Budapest, I highly recommend visit!

A cool little option if you manage your expectations
I found this place when planning our Budapest vacation and it sounded like a cool unusual option, which it was. I enjoyed our visit and I'd recommend it but you should manage your expectations about what it is. The art you'll be viewing is very creatively cool and will certainly meet your expectations based on the photos you see here. They're well presented and the facility is nice but it is pretty small (4 rooms, as I recall) in the basement below a pub or something. They also have an axe-throwing range adjacent in the basement but we didn't do that. We were the only ones there at 1PM on a Tuesday afternoon and enjoyed walking through. A reasonable value at 9E pp and a nice break from pounding the pavement in Budapest, especially on a rainy day as it was for us. I'd recommend it as something unusual or a casual option to get out of the rain on a wet day or if you're really into artistic creativity as I am.

    Cool Art
Read about this and it was near my hotel so that's how I began my trip in Budapest. the place is not so big so you should manage your expectations but the details are amazing and you can climb on everything. I'd recommend it as something unusual or an great option for a rainy day. In the same place they also have axe throwing.

We discovered this place by chance, when we were looking for a bar to have a drink near our hotel. A cool scrap metal statue standing on the window cought our attention so we went in to find out that there was an entire exhibition under the bar. Very recommended, great gallery and a bar all in one place.

Pretty impressive stuff, more than worth a visit. Excellent craftsmanship and recycling, it is a great combination. I particularly liked the way some of the statues were made to look as if they were covered in grease like any good machine (they are lacquered, of course, Idk if this was intentional on the builders part, but it is a nice touch). Recommended.

Absolutely no regrets about visiting this place. My teenage son loved it and I was enamored by the artistic ideas and fantastic workmanship put into each piece. An absolute must see if one is interested in art!

If you are around the party district of this beautiful city, give it a chance to the metal art gallery, you won't regret it.Downstairs of cosy bar there are many super cool figures made out of car parts, force you think what artists are capable of.It costs 10 euro and totally worth it.

This place is not just for art lovers. The sculptures are created in a truly unique style by highly talents artists in a way that allows you to get hands-on and interact with each recognisable character. You can take a swing on Bumblebee, hold Shreks babies and enter through Aladdin's Cave of Wonders. I won't give away all the surprises of this place, but it's well worth a visit for some easy entertainment, fun interactions and epic selfies. And if you truly are a lover of great artwork, you'll find yourself in awe with each masterpiece on display.

This unusual place is tucked away in the basement of Baz's Bar, so be sure to grab a nice beer on the way out.

Usually I'm not a gallery type of person, but the metal art gallery definitely is a must see. Interesting sculptures of famous movie characters made of scrap metal. Great plan for kids and adults and if you like you can buy a small statue as souvenir.

We initially went to the "Baz Beer Bar" for the Axe throwing experience next door when we found out about the gallery and it was an awesome find. All sculptures are well made out of car parts. There is information for each piece and even a price tag if you wish to buy it! You can touch and inspect the sculptures and even sit on it (Raptor, Motorcycle, Bumblebee swing...etc). The staff at the location were all friendly. We went for the gallery, then for the axe throwing and finished with few drinks at the bar upstairs.
