We had an amazing day seeing Budapest on bicycle. We had done a walking tour the day before but we saw so much more and learned so much on this bike tour thanks to our tour guide Virag. It was very easy to pedal across Pest, cross the Danube for lunch and to see the Castle District in Buda before returning to Pest. We learned so much about all the invasions thru history, the Nazi and Soviet occupations, the failed revolt in 1956 and finally an independent country today. Budapest is a beautiful city and we would not have appreciated it so much without spending 4+ hours with our tour guide Virag. Our trip included stays in Munich, Salzburg, Vienna and Budapest. This bike tour was the highlight of our entire vacation.

This bike trip if you like to cycle is the perfect way to see Budapest . The tour started at 10:30am and ended at 3pm and included lunch at Grandmas Kitchen which felt like we were in our charming grandmothers dining room. But our guide Virag was brilliant, fun, animated, and thoughtful guide. She gets a 5 star rating . She is an international law student , speaks 4 languages and is degreed in Slovenic studies… very impressive and taught the history in an interesting fashion. The biking was mostly flat and there were many opportunities to stop and take a brief rest… easy enough for recreational bike riders. I would rate this a must do activity in Budapest .

Evi was our guide who spoke very good English and very friendly guide. She is full of knowledge about history of Budapest and current situation. It is a beautiful country and Evi stopped many times to explain everything. We HIGHLY recommend her and this bike tour. We had an extra stop to cycle around the island too. We ended with a lovely lunch in a ‘granny kitchen’ restaurant. Thanks Evi for the amazing bike ride/ tour. X

5/5* must do experience. Good value for money. Great tour guide (Bernardett). Lovely sites. Also, nice amount of free time, and an amazing free lunch at a small Hungarian cafe.
