Our guide, Regi, was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. She shared 2 hrs of Hungarian history with us in an entertaining manner and I would definitely recommend this tour.

My 12-y-o son and I went on this walking tour and really enjoyed it. The guide was very enthusiastic about Budapest and Hungary and did an excellent job of sharing her passion for the city. She was also knowledgeable about the history and was happy to share her personal stories.

It is a nice walk of 3 hours (aprox) discovering the main points of this city. A very positive thing is also the comments of the guide that tries to help and support you recommending places to go.

We did the July 4 morning tour of Budapest free tour and was a great over view of the sites in Budapest and a bit of history. You don't see anything in depth but gives good information for you to return and investigate on your own later. Our group began as a very large one - maybe 30 people -... More

The walk was nice. We went from the town centre to the more hilly part of the city, visiting some beautiful sceneries. The explanation of the guide was clear and it varied from myths and jokes to the history.

We had a great tour overall. We took the spanish tour, and it was very interesting but it felt like it was all memorized. You get a great view of the city, it was very hot but the guide made sure we were always on the best conditions available. She was very nice! It is a great way to spend... More

You'll get to pass trough the main(coolest bridge) of Budapest, the chain bridge. From there you go up hill, though a green area, untl you hit the Budacastle area. Not only you'll see all the cool buildings up there, but you also will be able to enjoy a great view of the city.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
