Aduen was a brilliant guide. So friendly, so knowledgeable and very interesting. He delivered a great deal of information in short space of time and really brought the history and personality of Budapest to life for us. He gave us an honest background to the monuments and why they are loved and hated by the Hungarians. He spoke clearly and loudly enough for us to hear too, and it was a miserable wet windy day so he did well to keep it positive. Made the city alive for us. Highly recommended this tour and this tour guide.

Of all the free walking tours I have been on, Adúen stands out as my all-time favorite. His walking tour weaves into a story of Budapest that is funny and captivating. He also gives helpful suggestions for after the tour. Adúen made my time in Budapest absolutely fantastic, if you go with him, you too will have a great time

Very interesting introduction to Budapest and Hungary and we were lucky enough to have Aduen as our guide. The 2.5 hours visiting the main tourist spots flew by and Aduen's engaging delivery of the history and sociology of Hungary held everybody's attention. Aduen encouraged questions of every kind also gave us lots of information about other places to visit along with the best restaurants and bars too! Thank you!

Orsi was a wonderful tour guide. She walked us through a very unfiltered history lesson from the perspective of 4 living generations of locals and explained why the culture and social norms are what they are today in Budapest. I admire the way she and other locals take responsibility for the part Hungry played in the war and demand that history not be painted over to forget that. Orsi also knew a lot of local spots and I fell in love with finding those mini sculptures on our visit. Great tour.

We did the free walking tour of the Pest/Parliament building district with Osra. The tour is about 2.5 hours and you walk all over the district and see many wonderful sights. Osra is very knowledgeable about her city and gives a lot of personal insight into the history. Absolutely a must-do on a first day of a Budapest trip.

I took the English tour with Orsi. She's amazing! In a very easy way she told us the history of Budapest and helped us understand the people and the culture of Hungary while showing us the highlights of the city. Plus, she spoke about modern life and gave us very good recommendations to enjoy our visit.

it was such a lovely tour in Budapest. Aduen was extremely knowledgeable and more importantly very very enthusiastic and passionate about his job. We enjoyed the sense of humour and he was able to answer all questions asked.

A note not about the tour guide himself:
I've used Sandemans tours before and in some cities I loved that at the end of the tour the tour guide had a QR code that included all the places to visit (museums, attractions, restaurants even broken by kind of diets, bars, etc). I highly suggest for the company to do something like that for all cities including Budapest.

Went on two tours in the same day, one in Pest and the other in Buda later in the day and loved both of them. Both tour guides had interesting stories and helped us with other questions we had and recommended other things to see and do in the city. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

We had a great time and learned loads from Aduén. He was engaging, informative but also hilarious and I would recommend his tour to anyone. It was bitterly cold and windy but my partner and I agreed it was still worthwhile and enjoyable. The tour lasted just under 2.5 hours, Aduén gave us lots of recommendations on where we should eat (general recommendations and also recommendations for specific dishes we wanted to try), which attractions were worth doing (and which ones weren't). He went into the perfect amount of depth when talking us through the history, he encouraged questions and clearly enjoys what he does. Would definitely recommend. Tips are taken at the end, we paid in cash but he said he could take card too.

I had such a nice tour from Aduen, really fascinating information in relation to both places to go and see, as well as lots of interesting history which is really important to know. Aduen maintained a good level of energy which kept us engaged throughout the (three hour) tour which was quite a skill. We were challenged to ask questions and it was clear that Aduen was very knowledgeable. Thanks so much!
