I booked my tickets in advance but the seats were not saved for us on the bus.
It seems they don’t have an idea if tickets are booked online and they are selling tickets outside to fill the bus.
I planned my entire day based on the hour I booked the tour but when I arrived, 10 min before departure there was no place on the bus.
The employees didn’t really care and rushed us to leave the bus so they can leave on time and told us to take the next ride. It was a terrible experience for my 5 year old who was so excited and didn’t want to leave.
Other than that, it’s a nice ride but it’s very hot inside the bus during the trip to a point it’s too much. I would skip it, especially if you have done a boat tour in the city, there’s nothing unusual about the experience, I would recommend it only for kids.

We booked the short version of RiverRide trip (approx 1h20min). The guide Yolanda was OK, given information in English, German and Hungarian. The audio in the bus could be better, as we didn't understand everything she said. River ride was very short, we only drove on Danube for 15-20 minutes, I wish we would go to The Parliament at least.

At the moment the water level of Danube is pretty high and the flow is strong, so we were unsure whether we can make the trip. Luckily the boat-bus is strong enough to manage this circumstance. We had a nice trip through Andrássy Street to Heroes square, and besides the Zoo till the river. Sightseeing part was interesting, with great stories about Hungarian history. Cruising in the river is a funny experience. People are way more closer to the water than is larger sightseeing ship, which results a closer experience with Danube. The bus itself is an attraction, a lot of by-passer looked at the strange vehicle. :-)

It was the best scare I've ever had in my life!
When it enters the water the impression is going to sink.
It is very worthwhile to do this tour.

Interesting way to spend time.
There are two types of tours: short (50min) and long one (1 hour 35 min).
We booked short one online. When came at the place - we were told that short excursion are in Hungarian language. And as a second language they already promised to other people - German. That was very unexpected surprise, because there is nothing about this ob the site. How we were supposed to know that short tours are in Hungarian?
I have to say, that the staff was very friendly and tried to solve the problem. We were suggested to join another tour (long one, but without extra payment) in one hour in English language. But we already planned everything, so we decided to stick with this one. In this case Staff gave us an audio guide in English. It was pretty difficult to listen actually. Because that was rather loud live guide in Hungarian and German. But anyway it was better then nothing.
Of course mood of this trip was not really in a place after such starting.
About excursion: rather nice. That splash thing is not such a big thing. I guess outside it looks even better 😂 swimming in the water is kind of slow.
There is AC working, so not hot for sure.
Staff is really friendly.
Got a free postcard from them after the trip.

Ok tour. Dont expect too much. Lady guide was great. We paid 19€ per person, maybe little too much for what you get.

This is a very good way to see the city and being able to combine the "inland" sights with the view from the river was great. It definitely helped us to decide which areas we then wanted to explore by foot afterwards. The "splash" into the river is also good fun for kids and adults alike. Having good commentary is also a major plus to get some more insight into the city. We listened to the "live" commentary and our guide seemed to know lots about what we were seeing. The only issue was that even with the volume turned up as high as we could (on four headsets) the commentary was still very quiet which made it quite difficult to follow at times. The guide also transitioned very quickly between German and English which sometimes meant that you missed out on the start of something - a pause for breath between the two would have been all the "notice" we needed. My only other slight issue was that some of the sights that it said we would be seeing - we didn't actually pass (for example the synagogue is down a street that you pass the end of - so you only catch a glance of it as you pass). I understand that the bus is on usual roads and so this constrains the route and the ability to stop or slow at the main sites. But if you have just arrived in Budapest and want a fun way to decide where to explore then this is a great way to do it.

Amazing place to walk at night. Lighting is marvellous. People especially tourist take time out to visit this place. Christmas market and other eating places are very near by. Budapest is a place for eating and sight seeing. They are restaurants even which work non stop.
