We were in Budapest in July 2022. Ildiko prepared a customized tour for our group of 5 with ages varying from 16 to 75. We went to the main tourist attractions, tasted local foods, and learned the history of the city. The tour never felt rushed. Ildiko is knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. She also helped us with making reservations at restaurants. If you ever visit Budapest, make sure to book a tour with Ildiko!

I was in Budapest for a few days at the end of October. Ildiko was a terrific guide! Not only did she take me a new and fantastic restaurant for roast duck, cabbage and noodles (along with cottage cheese dumplings) but she got tickets for us for a great Debussy concert at the new music museum near the city park. We walked around the park in early evening before the concert (it was beautiful with the lights on the castle!) and also got coffee and a special version of the famed Hungarian 'chimney cake' at one of her favorite pastry places. She knows a lot about wines too so be prepared to learn (and taste) about the many delicious wines of Hungary! Just a great all around person, easy to talk to, very knowledgeable. She truly loves her city and wants to share all the great things in it with her clients. I cannot recommend her enough!

I actually met Ildiko in 2017, not 2023, when she gave my university group a series of tours. She is knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining— exactly what you want from a tour guide! I highly recommend her and think she should raise her prices! She is so great! Please consider enriching your trip with her fabulous service.

If you want a great tour guide she is your girl. We booked a tour with her on her second day arriving from Florida. Very knowledgeable and very well spoken English. Great at customizing our tour and showing us around Budapest. Also teaching us the metro and the transportation. I really appreciated the fact that if we had any questions during our visit she said to contact her at any time . Gave us great recommendations for other sites and restaurants to visit We were so impressed I booked a second tour while my husband worked. Definitely will book another tour on our return.

Best regards,
Ildiko

We are a group of Singaporeans who chose Emily of Emilytours for our 3 days visit to Budapest on 12th to 14th April 2019. We are glad we chose her. Her knowledge as regards the history, culture etc of the places we visited is excellent, and in details too.
We, through her contact, were able to get the best table for the folk lore cultural dinner show, which we enjoyed thoroughly. It was a memorable occasion. She also took care of our two ladies who had problem in wallking, by getting the coach to alight and pick up as near as possible at places of interests. We would without any hesitation, select her again should we return to Budapest. We highly recommend her to anyone who needs a guide for a private tour in Budapest

I visited Buda Castle back in 2012, but my partner and I explored without a tour guide and failed to enrich the experience with the history of the Castle District. Visiting again in 2019, Ildikó added flesh to the bones and brought the area to life with vivid descriptions of historical events. Ildikó’s passion for Budapest was evident throughout and ensured the tour was thoroughly enjoyable (albeit, very windy!). If you’re visiting Budapest, I would certainly recommend taking advantage of a tour guide and would definitely recommend Ildikó!

Ildiko took my friend and I on a wonderful tour of the ancient section of Budapest known as Obuda. We began our journey in the ruins of an ancient Roman coliseum, where she had plentiful knowledge of the function and origins of the structure. Not far from here she showed us the remainder of the Roman aqueduct system, and we saw the foundations of the village that the ancient people called home. We also visited a more modern section of the district, where we toured an art museum and learned stories about Hungarian nobility.
Ildiko is a phenomenal English speaker. She is consistent and cheerful. The genuine warmth of her personality and the depth of her knowledge make Ildiko a treasure of a tour guide around Budapest. A trip to Hungary would not be complete without taking one of her guided tours.

Thank you for this very kind and detailed evaluation. I feel lucky to get to know you and your friend. You were interested in everything so I was able to talk much (which I enjoy). Hopefully you will come back one day and I can show you some other hidden treasures of Budapest or Hungary!
Best regards,
Ildiko

Budapest is a beautiful city. The Danube and the bridges over it are unforgettable. You should see places of pray of a different religion (Orthodox, Catholic, Jewish).
