We had an outstanding 3 hour kayak trip at the Danube Bend about a one hour drive from Budapest. Gyuri was professional, on time, and communicated trip information well and gave us all we needed for a safe and enjoyable adventure. Our trip even included a half way stop for snacks and a toilet break and he took lots of photos which he sent to us after the trip.

I had an amazing hike with Gyuri in early February. Though it was cold, the pleasant sunshine made it a perfect balance of crisp air and warmth. The scenery was breathtaking, and the sense of peace throughout the journey was incredible. Gyuri was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable and supportive, making the experience even more special. I highly recommend this hike to anyone looking to connect with nature.

We had an incredible experience with Outdoor Adventures Hungary for a stag do. As a group of 16, we enjoyed the hiking and kayaking adventure along the beautiful Danube - it was a pretty good hangover cure. The scenery was great. Gyuri and his wife were friendly and very accommodating and ultimately made sure everyone had a great time. Just a tip: don't forget to pack mosquito spray! Thanks to Outdoor Adventures Hungary for an amazing trip!

My partner and I had a fantastic two day hike in the Vertes mountains at the beginning of May with the guide György. György guided us along the beautiful hiking trails and we learned a lot about the nature and the history of Hungary. In the evening he made us a delicious Hungarian pork stew which he cooked over an open fire and at night my partner and I slept in a outdoor-hammock under the stars. Everything was very well arranged. György picked us up by car at the hotel in Budapest and drove us back the next day. The hike included both beautiful forests, old castles and nice views of the mountains. As a bonus, he also took us to a local ice cream cafe and a lake we could swim in. As a surprise, he also took many beautiful pictures which he sent to us afterwards.

Booked a one night experience in the wilderness. Didn’t know what to expect but just followed the excellent reviews.
What you read is so true about Gyuri.
He made you feel comfortable and at ease to conquer your fear for the wilderness.
And not to forget: the food he made, tasted the best of all dishes we had in inner city Budapest. Thank you Gyuri for this great experience!

I had a great afternoon with Gyuri, kayaking on the "little" Danube. We covered 10k during the trip and saw a lots of wildlife. I was picked up and dropped off by Gyuri from Budapest. I was provided with all the equipment. I was well cared from start to finish and had a great time. Gyuri is a fantastic guide and a true professional. Thank you so much Gyuri for this great trip! 👏🙂

Highly recommended. Gyuri, the guide, is really friendly and speaks English well. He responded very quickly and we booked the tour within a few hours, for the next day. We did the Kayaking on the Little Danube activity in which we kayaked approximately 10-12km on the Little Danube. It was easy enough to manage. Gyuri even took nice photos for us during our excursion for us to remember the day by. Thanks, Outdoor Adventures Hungary!

My half day kayaking on the little Danube was amazing, and by far the highlight of my holiday in Budapest. Firstly the communication was superb, i came across the Outdoor Adventures Hungary website by chance and within only 1 day of my holiday left messaged just to see if i could arrange something for the following morning, fully expecting the answer to be no as it so last minute. However, i messaged at 6.15pm on the Wednesday evening and within 30 mins Gyuri had responded and i was booked up to Kayak down the little Danube the following morning with pick up and drop off from my hotel included. The whole experience was fantastic, Gyuri is completely fluent in English and has a great sense of humour. The little Danube is so tranquil and peaceful, and kayaking in the sunshine was a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Gyuri is very knowledgeable and was pointing out and explaining all the wildlife along the route. We saw Swans and their signets, fish, Herons, and Woodpeckers to name but a few. Gyuri is very respectful of nature and others on the water and ensured safety was a priority. The whole experience was brilliant and i'd highly recommend it to anyone, whether you are a solo traveller like myself or part of a group.

The hike was amazing. Gyuri was a great guide, very thoughtful and even introduced me to some Hungarian snacks. The hike took us about 5 hours, it is a gruelling hike but the views are worth it. It was extremely beautiful and I would do it again. Gyuri took pictures, I felt very safe, he showed up on time and was the best guide! I highly recommend.

It has been nothing short of an excellent hike for us in the end of November. We are somewhat sporty and booked the most challenging 18km tour with Gyuri. He picked us up from our Budapest accommodation and drove us to Dömös where the hike began. He offered chances for multiple shorter and longer stops so we could easily pace ourselves to have enough energy for the whole length of the hike. We were also enjoying some bird watching (and listening) and he shared some interesting facts here and there during the hike. All in all if you are an enjoyer of nature it is highly, HIGHLY recommended and it’s an experience you will definitely not forget. Should we return to Hungary, we’ll try and find the time to book him again.
