Our free walking tours were fantastic!! MONIKA was our tour guide, and she was funny, informative and personable. She gave a fantastic overview of Buda Castle, on the Buda side, and we enjoyed her so much that we took her city walking tour on the Pest side the very next day!! Her knowledge of local history was thorough, yet concise, and she made it easy to us to understand what the city has been through. Monika gave us enough background information that when we revisited the city sites on our own, we knew exactly what to look for as we dove deeper into our own historic interests. She also made fantastic recommendations for local dining and local music, as well as further exploration of interesting sites not on the tour! We were so inspired that we extended our trip, to see as much as possible! These walking tours alone made the Budapest Card worth its price!! Thank you Monika!!

We booked this tour with really no expectations since none of us had done a food tour before. My sister is a vegetarian and was still able to try many things. Monika was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about Budapest and shared her story and how life is different since the fall communism. She introduced us to food we hadn’t really heard of before, the Langos is very nice! But the chimney cake she took us for was hot off the coals and melts in your mouth. If you find chimney cakes on the street and they aren’t roasting them right there, move on, you won’t be sorry! We would totally book another tour with Monika, she was personable and informative.

We only had one full day and this halve day walking tour got us started perfectly. We saw the Hero Square and surrounding area including the main spa. Then onto the heart of town before walking the bridge and up to the castle area. The history of Budapest and Hungary is fascinating . Balint our guide was a great source of knowledge. This is a fun , young group of guides that like what they do. I can highly recommend it.
