A very cosy area with a lot of restaurant options. One must be careful on which will you choose as there really are overprized ones... but in general the food is good quality. Ive seen many Hungarians also eating in the area, but it looked like the place they go for a "special occation", not for the daily lunch or dinner.

Visited Listz Square to see my idol & his statue is superb. Surrounded by lovely leafy trees & beautiful gardens, if was a real relief from the heat. There are plenty of cafes & restaurants however they cater to the tourists & charge the same.

I stayed at the Liszt Ferenc Square in a nice apartment during my holiday. The place is conveniently located to many shops and cafes and the bus stop is just a very quick short walk away.

I do not recommend anyone to eat here. Many overpriced restaurants and lots of filth everywhere. The statue itself is covered in bird droppings.

Liszt Ferenc ter was once the city's go to place for young people where a dozen restaurants filled the square with those who were wanting to be seen! Not so much any more. The restaurant we went to had poor service and the energy of the area has been gone for years. It looks more like a cookie cutter tourist trap at this point. But understand we might have been there at an off time....

This is a lovely square to sit in, with statues, and benches and seats to sit on to catch up on a bit of people watching! There are also lots of restaurants to choose from if you so wish. Be warned though, that many of the restaurants are more expensive than you can find elsewhere. But this has one of the nicest, relaxed, cosiest atmospheres in Budapest.

A great place to visit to get a bite or have a few drinks. Try Mensa, Karma or Kiado (Across Andrassy). During the summer, the trees provide shade and tons of pretty people will be sitting outside eating and socializing.

It's sad to see this area not as vibrant as it was. Still plenty of tourists visit but the locals not so much so. Some ok restaurants still but life has now moved to the jewish quarter

A little way out of the town centre but well worth a visit. There are excellent bars and restaurants here in a leafy setting designed for cafe living. Great service too.
