The ILOCKEDYOU Escape Game, escape room was built in order to fill a gape in the escape game industry. The most important thing for us overall is the outstanding experience that we think consists of the unique and super fun puzzles and the immersive and realistic design that completely immerse you to the story. After playing and analyzing more than 100 games, we can proudly say that our games represent the highest quality of escape room adventures in all aspects, we are pioneers. Our Escape Rooms represent the new generation of escape games and our goal was to build a game that is full with unique solutions, is high quality and completely immerse the players into different worlds. We are located in the heart of Budapest, in a few steps from the most eventful part of the city and the most authentic hidden pubs, restaurants. We went there with friends because we read the great reviews here. Well, those people must have been to a different place, this was by far the worst escape room company I've ever been to.
First, the lobby is very small, very dirty and just not welcoming at all. There is no toilet seat and the toilet is barely separated from the waiting area. In the waiting area you can hear what people are doing inside the rooms crystal clear, so it spoils the other games for you, which is quite unprofessional. There is no real reception, just a girl sitting with a laptop, everything is messy. There are some memes on the "walls" around (they are not real walls, just wooden boards) which could be funny but the whole thing is done in a very cheap way.
I was still hoping that the room would be better than that, but unfortunately, it wasn't. There were no clever puzzles, everything was made from cheap materials and was home made in a bad way. We solved everything with a bit of help, but we didn't have fun at all. There were some things in the room that we didn't want to touch because they looked dirty. There is one task where it's stated for you that you can only try once, otherwise the game master has to come in and reset it for you! What is that? We didn't need her to come in, but I've never seen anything like that in an escape room before. There are some wires barely hidden in the room, nails and metal pieces sticking out from the floor and they just put a piece of wood over them, that's it! Also the size of the rooms is very small, I can't imagine how they expect 6 people to have fun in there.
It's obvious that whoever made this room put in the least amount of money and effort they could and they ask for the same price as other much more professional companies.
I'd like to note that I didn't have any problems with the game master, we got the right hints and everything, but the overall experience was terrible.
If you want to play good escape rooms, go somewhere else.

As you can see from our other 700+ reviews, almost everyone is satisfied with our rooms, but of course everyone is different, it’s always good to voice a different opinion.
We have never heard players criticizing the material of our drywalls, that is also something new to hear, so it is also good to hear new perspectives.
We are aware of the fact that the creative and not average atmosphere of our lobby is more enjoyable for open-minded people, requires a certain sense of imagination and it happens that someone doesn’t like this style, but luckily for us the majority of the groups loves the place, and that is more important they love the game experience. Fortunately (700+ reviews) thousands of players love our style.
We are sorry that it was a bad experience for you. We understand you are angry, but please avoid generalization, saying that those people who liked it were to a different place. Please respect the TripAdvisor community. We happily refund you any time!
However, we would suggest for you to read the websites and also check the difficulty of the game beforehand, since you played our most difficult room, this room has no padlocks neither number combinations, only other kind of puzzles that require a higher level of creativity.
The” only try once “puzzle was done deliberately :) it is not a difficult puzzles based on the opinion of hundreds of players, and since the topic relates to a very cruel story, groups are usually ready to make big decisions within the game, this task is also implies to make a meaningful and important decision that is usually fun for the players :)

I played more than 30 escape rooms and this one is by far the worst.
Design is not immersive, you do not get pulled to the game. Avengers could easily have been any movie at all, since game puzzles and room design didnt have anything to do with this particular movie. Mechanics and electronics were bad, interior awfull, cardboard and bad painting everywhere... Save yourself some HUFs and go to the escape room that gives you something other than bad puzzles in a lousy interior

I have never tried escape room before. My 13 years old son and I decided to do the avenger theme and it was really really good. He loved it. Me and my big head, I thought I would solve it in 30 mins but we actually went over our 1 hour time slot and the lady at the desk was kind enough to let us carry on even though our time was up but we were in the last room. It is a quirky place and the lady managing the place was really nice, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

We came here as a family and tried The Avengers. We found it fun and challenging. We have done many Escape Rooms in Budapest and we enjoyed it so much we booked to do Jurassic Park and The Hunger Games. All the games were enjoyable. We recommend them all.

A barátaimmal visszajáró szabadulóknak számítunk itt. Már az összes szobát kipróbáltuk az Avengersesen kívül és eddig még egyszer sem csalódtunk valamint várjuk az újabb szobákat :)
Me and my friends have been to most of the rooms here and we always had a really great time. The rooms are challenging but also fun. Highly recommended place!

This was my first time in an escape room and I was totally clueluess about what I had to do but thankfully, I played it with family members who did. Regardless, I had loads of fun. The instructions given were clear, the lady at the desk was very friendly and sweet. I would definetely recommend ILOCKEDYOU to fellow Escape Room lovers.

Had an absolute blast. First time ever going to an escape room. We had to split the group as there was two many of us. We done the Jurassic and Game of thrones. So exciting. Opens to different rooms. Good idea and themes. Highly recommend. Got out with minutes to spare.

We love Game of Thrones and we would like to surprise our friend, so we bought tickets and tried this escape room. It was perfect. So Got feeling. Every room has many difficulties. It is not easy as we thought and somtimes we need some help, but it was a very good experience for all of us. We were working together and we saved from the Night King. We really enjoyed it.

We tried their Game of Thrones room and it was not really as I expected, the staff was nice, but the place is really dirty and messy, I looked behind the couch in the waiting room , which was a mistake, I do not think rat poison is supposed to be next to the place where customers are waiting.. The website is misleading the players, I did not notice the work of artists and designers or engineers, the riddles were boring and the room is not clean as well.
I am really sorry to say but it was a horrible experience, there are much better places to visit in Budapest.

We are shocked by your 1 star review, your review is misleading and hostile. Our website is not misleading at all. Just one example, there is a huge (man size) painting of Kingslandind in the room (that is also part of the game) that was painted by an artist especially for this game. In addition to that fortunatlely more than hundreads of players visited us, who emphasized the exciting and unique puzzles not to mention players who played more than 50+ or 100+ games, and they were also very satisified. Of course, everybody is entitled to their opinion.
Furthermore, Budapest is the only metropolis in the world where in the last 40 years or more, rats have not caused any public health, economic or general discomfort problems. This result has been achieved by Babolna-Bio following an initial deratization campaign carried out in 1971-72 and the continuous maintenance works performed since then. Every basement has to have rat poison in a closed box (not accessible by people so do not dangerous for people) since it is part of the policy that we are following, we are 100% sure there are no rats, but we are forced to take rat poison since we obey the rules!
Finally, we will report your review to Tripadvisor, since your opinion is completely the opposite that we are experiencing every day, therefore it raises the suspicion that it is a fraud. We do appreciate feedback, and we know this is how we can improve, but your review points to the fact that you were asked by competitiors to ruin our whole reputation.

Did 2 rooms, One of them in overtime, blush...
Among 2 escape room complexes in the Zichy Jeno Street this is definitely the better choice.
