Address
Neighborhood: District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

There are so many options to buy, good choice to buy gifts as souvenirs from Budapest, perfect designs with high-quality notebooks, and fun/amazing memory games that you can play with friends.

The best souvenir you can buy before leaving Budapest is one of the paintings of the talented artist Andras Szoboszlay. He captures the beauty and elegance of the city and its buildings and also that of the people who live in it. Through his pictures you can discover the intimate atmosphere of the city’s many grand cafes and social gatherings.
His paintings come in many forms, you can find something for any occasion when you visit his atelier home in Dob utca, where you are being welcomed by two curious cats and a cup of coffee if you fancy one.

András captures the everyday beauty of Budapest and, literally, places it in your hands through his beautiful artwork! I was given a gift of one of his personal watercolor journals and loved it so much, I ordered 175 to give as hospitality gifts to the many friends who visit my home in Budapest from the States. He was gracious and prompt in filling my big order. His work is lovely and charming!

I happened upon Andras, Painter of Budapest, by chance as I was searching for a Live Artist for my nephew's wedding in Budapest. As luck would have it, Andras was available for the event and the rest is history. The two watercolor sketches of the wedding ceremony (and 50 thank-you cards) he created are beautiful and quite a unique gift as remembrance of that special event. As if that wasn't enough, visiting his studio to pick up the sketches was another gem of a find! What absolutely beautiful art work he has produced of the City of Budapest. His perception is on-point and colors are outstanding. One can't help but fall in love with his medium of art and talent!
