Budapest Danube River Evening Sightseeing Cruise by Legenda City Cruises

707 reviews
Take in the illuminated highlights of Budapest during an evening cruise on the Danube River, which gives you some of the best opportunities to snap photos of the city's top landmarks lit up. Float past the UNESCO World Heritage–listed riverbanks in a glass-enclosed boat, toasting the sights with an included beverage (alcoholic or nonalcoholic). Highlights include the Chain Bridge, the Buda Castle District, the Hungarian Parliament, and others, which are all put into context with onboard film and audio guides available in multiple languages.

10 USD would get you to spin in this ordinary (yet nicely lit at night) Ferris wheel. As long as you don't expect any "WOW" factor, you can actually enjoy it. For us, it was mostly part of the view from our hotel window.

The attraction, Budapest's Eye is highly recommended for both children and adults. There is a better view in the day time but it is more romantic in the evening. The price is OK. A minus during the covid-19 situation is, that customers are not social distancing. Also the staff does not tell the crowd to keep distance. There are info signs but nobody cares.. That was a littlebit stressy.

Ferris wheels can be a lot of fun. My husband and I took a ride on the Budapest Eye and enjoyed the view. It is a little expensive for not such a long ride, but it is a great way to see the city. The line was short when we went on a Saturday afternoon and we had almost no wait. The seats were clean and the wheel went at a comfortable speed. There is glass around it, though with open windows, so you feel safe but there is still a breeze. We made more than one rotation and it was really very pretty at the top. We liked our ride quite well.

Located Within Erzsebet Square stands this 65 meter ferris wheel, (apparently the largest in europe), It is very popular with tourists and locals, seems a little pricey at 3000Huf (10€), But what we know, doesn't stop the punters in the least, Looks so cool at night.
