A central, charmless, square.
Feb 2020
This is a central, yet utterly charmless, square, where you can find the major MRT hub, several hotels and countless restaurants.

Entrance to the downtown
Jul 2020
Deak Ferenc Square is a busy place. This is the kind of entrance to the heart of Budapest. There are some eateries there.

Popular meeting place
Feb 2020
Walking down Ferenc Street, (fashion street), enjoying window browsing in all the shops, we stumbled across this lovely square which is also the home of a popular night club, Akvarium Klub, and outdoor nightlife.

A central square.
Nov 2019
This is one of the most central square in Budapest and while it did feature some Christmas decorations, it lacked any charm at all.

Transport hub and central square with some lovely restaurants
Nov 2018
This is one of the central transport hubs and most important squares in the city - and also where you will in all likelihood alight from the airport bus, catching your first glimpse of the city. Roads lead from here to almost anywhere else you will want to go within the city, and everything is well within walking distance. The area is lively and bustling with lots going on at all hours of the day and night and some of the citys best restaurants.

A small city square with some shady trees!
Jun 2019
While exploring the part of the Pest side of Budapest located near the river, we visited this small city square a couple of times.
The weather at the time of our stay in Budapest was quite warm and humid. Consequently, whilst exploring on foot, it was necessary to take a break occasionally to rest our feet and cool off a bit. Deak Frerenc Square proved to be the ideal place to do this. It has some nice shady trees with a few park benches and we found that you would occasionally get a cooling breeze off the river.
The square is home to an assortment of small statues and sculptures. There is also a small fountain located in the square. A number of shops, cafes and hotels located in the streets nearby.
This is by no means a “must-visit” location. However, it is a nice spot to enjoy a short break from hectic tourist activities.

heart of the city
Jul 2019 • Couples
This is the place where everything happens.
Meet ups, long walks, picnics, parties (Akvarium).
There is very tasty hand made ice cream, bars, open terrace, restaurants,
the big eye of budapest, etc. Perfect nightlife also!
This is also a point where all the metro lines meet.
