I just received my second pair of Rozsnyai shoes and they continue to be fantastic. Since I was unable to visit their store in Budapest, I initially used their made-to-measure service where they provide measuring foam which you stand on and make an impression of your feet. This is then sent back to Rozsnyai for them to make a pair of trial shoes before finalizing any changes to your personalized lasts which they maintain in their factory. This process produced shoes with a perfect fit, equal to that of the bespoke shoes I have had made locally in Japan. I believe Rozsnyai makes footwear of a quality and style equal to anyone. The shoes themselves are works of art, with an Italian styling influence, especially the 116 last which I am using. The shoes are extremely well made and I will continue to purchase footwear from Rozsnyai in the future.

Although this has to be sent back for some alterations. But the result of the end product is well done. Thanks for Sandor’s great help throughout the whole process. Looking forward to order another pair soon.

I was a little concerned when I showed up since they weren't open when I arrived however when they did show they apologized because they had some transportation challenges which I understand. They were very helpful in explaining the process and making some recommendations in my selection. I was there for nearly 2 1/2 hours and I felt kind of like family when I left. I did order one pair of shoes which should arrive shortly and when I see how they work-out they have the information to make a second pair.

I've always wanted custom made shoes. Mainly due to my feet being very difficult to fit with 'off the rack' shoes. I'm always uncomfortable (or in pain) in store bought shoes, and I have to trade off comfort for style. I knew that custom made shoes would be my salvation, but, in NYC, well, just out of my league price wise.
To my luck, I happened to be walking down a side street in Budapest and stumbled upon Rozsnyai Handmade Shoes. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by both Eniko and her assistant Eva. They took the time to show me around the shop and explained all the beautiful styles, leathers, and details that work their way into each pair of custom shoes. Once I heard the affordable price of about $500, there was no way I was leaving Budapest without a pair of their custom made shoes. (Even nice store-bought shoes in NYC can cost that much.)
Step one is to be measured. All parts of both feet were measured. Also, an impression of both feet was made. Additionally, I tried on a few different pairs of shoes in different sizes to see what part of each of those sizes fit or did not fit. For example, it is possible to have a 45 length (in Euro sizing) but another part of one's foot would fit better in a 44. Of course, the measurements and impressions they took are the key factors - but trying on shoes also is helpful in creating the perfect pair for my feet.
Step two was deciding what shoes I wanted for my first pair. So many decisions needed to be made - shoe style, type of leather, type of toe, type of stitching, sole type, etc. Although it was often difficult to make certain decisions, Eniko (and Eva) were of great help and offered constant feedback.
Step three was finalizing the order and putting down a 50% deposit.
I was told that the shoes would be ready in about 8 to 10 weeks, and I'd be getting photos emailed to me as my shoes moved thru production. Although I live in New Jersey USA, the shoes would be mailed to me, and, as an added bonus, I would not have to pay the typical VAT tax.
I'm hoping I can eventually replace all my shoes with custom made by Rozsnyai. (Once they have your measurements, you can order via email or phone.)

Always confident with the quality of the shoes from Rozsnyai. Yet still, I am still getting surprises from them because I see the shoe quality is better than I expected when I unpacked the shoes.

It was definitely a big wow when I unpacked these pair of shoes! I was looking forward to receive the shoes for a long time and no doubt the wait is worth it! The craft, the leather, the style everything is tremendous! Definitely one of my favourite shoes and looking forward to my next buy from Rozsnyai Shoes.

Appearance is extremely important both in business and private life. The first impression forms the basis on how people judge you. For people working in creative-design-visual fields it is even more important. My handmade Rozsnyai shoes have been recognised and praised frequently in my architectural design office where it is not so easy to stand-out. Unique design, beautiful craftmanship with daily comfort. It is great that you can handpick the various components of the shoes, thus making it truely one of a kind! I admire the professionalism and atmosphere in the showroom located in the heart of Budapest! I opted to receive my shoes in Qatar where I work, which was seamless and only took a few days. I recommend Rozsnyai Handmade Shoes to everyone who appreciate good design and unique appearance, I am already thinking of my next order - most likely an embossed buffalo derby!

Product wise, I'll let the pictures do the talking.
Although I'm no expert, but I'm no stranger to finer shoes and yet I'm very impressed, not only with my shoes, but also with the care they took throughout the entire MTM process.
Keep up the good work and the artisan nature.
