The Thermal Beer Spa is located inside Széchenyi Spa, so you have two options available to enjoy this doubly intoxicating dip. You can either enter the Széchenyi Spa in the usual manner buying a valid ticket (or book online with us for a combined ticket!), then buy the extra ticket for the Beer Spa. Or if you're feeling like you'd prefer just a soak in alcohol-filled tubs, you can enter without going to Széchenyi too. Look out for our hosts wearing green at any of the three entrances to the building & they will be happy to help you with whichever choice. There are six tubs and two people can soak in each of them, so they aren’t only perfect for relaxation but also if you want to do something memorable on a first date!

The beer spa was great! We skipped the long queues for tickets for the main spa and were taken into a special area, shown our changing cabin and then into the beer spa room. There were 4 baths set up, but it was quite dark lighting so even though there were 3 other couples in the room it still felt quite private. Loved the bubbly water and wooden bath and it was great fun pulling your own pints of beer!! After the 45 mins were up we went on to enjoy all of the other facilities in the spa complex!

The staff at this facility were really nice and helpful. The whole experience lasted about 50 minutes with us being able to pour our own draught beer as much as we want and we were also given a light snack to compliment the beer. I would do this experience again when in Budapest!

What a fantastic experience. We spent a good 3 hours in the Thermal spa then headed off for some beer in the beer spa. Great fun experience and great way to meet other people ...the beer gets you talking :-) Drink as much as you want...then ask for a cheeky one when your time is up ( you get 45 minutes) and you can drink it in teh waiting area.

The Beer Spa sounds like a cool idea for anyone who likes beer and relaxing in a spa but it ended up being a terrible experience getting shouted at by the extremely rude English manager.

Firstly, this place is expensive. €30 per person for a tub or €50 for 2 people to share a tub. Those are the prices before you add on the entrance to the Széchényi bathes so we paid a total of €45 per person. Considering that Budapest is otherwise a really cheap place the prices are ridiculous but we thought we’d go for it anyway.

We went to the desk at reception and were met by a really nice young guy who ran us through how it would work and how to get towels and a cabin in the baths etc. So far so good.

After spending a bit of time in the main thermal baths we went through to the beer spa bit at our booked time and the women there went through all the ingredients and set up the tubs.

She then told us that the beer barrel had just been changed so the tap would splutter a bit and there would pour out some foam but then the beer would start to flow. Before getting in the bath I stood there patiently trying to pour a beer and getting glass after glass of nothing but foam. I’m not sure why this is left to customers to do rather than them having the tap ready for your booked time.

After pouring out over 10 glasses of foam the tray below the tap was almost over flowing so we got in the tubs and left it for a few minutes before trying again. This time a bit of beer was coming out but still mostly foam, pouring slowly with a titled glass was getting about a 1/5th of beer and the rest foam.

The manager came trough and tried to adjust the tap but it didn’t work, still the same result and as the drip tray was slowly draining there was nowhere for all the foam to go.

Her tone from the start was exceptionally rude and she did very little to fix the problem and instead saying that the incredibly frothy beer was fine and we should just drink it like that. We were trying to explain that you wouldn’t accept a beer with mostly foam at a bar and she just told us that we were wrong before raising her voice and saying we’d need to agree to disagree and storming out.

10 minutes into the 45 and still unable to pour a beer and with any chance of having a relaxing time ruined by the rude manager we decided to ask for a refund and leave.

We mentioned on the way out that we weren’t happy with how she’d spoken to us and she could do with a bit of training on how to deal with customers and she just shouted back ‘so could you’

As we left she shouted sarcastically at us to have a nice day. Just a incredibly unpleasant person with no idea of how to speak to customers.

Save yourself some money and get a ticket to Szenchenyi baths or one of the other beautiful thermal spas in the city and then go and have some beers in one of the many cool bars Budapest has to offer.

Avoid this place. As a couple with my wife with were given baths in a different area, not the signposted area we thought we would be in.

We were sharing a bath and paid 50 EUR for it. We were put into a small room with a huge guy who sat and stared at my wife's breasts while playing with himself. They were playing loud grime music at the time. Not exactly the fun or romantic experience we were hoping for.

The beer tap ran out half way through as well. Overall, a highly disappointing experience and not one I would recommend.

I did let the manager Lauren know but she just said she'd not let it happen again. Nothing else.

First of all, I had no idea that such an awesome concept existed! Of course I've dreamt of a world where you bathe in beer and unlimited beer on tap flows within arms reach, who hasn't?

Visiting Szechenyi Thermal Baths I stumble across this glorious sign saying 'Beer Spa.' Of course I got excited, then I told myself to calm down because I thought it was just a bar that was located at the thermal baths.

Lo and behold I walk in greeted by a beautiful English girl who said the most beautiful culmination of words that consisted of something like 'here you can bathe in beer, have it all over your skin and your hair and drink all the beer you can in 45 minutes.' I thought surely I would soon be greeted by Jesus.

It was so warm and relaxing, the decor was awesome with personalised beer lighting and all wooden-it looked and smelled like glory and deliciousness.

My friend and I chilled out, enjoyed chill music and the awesome beer bath. They bring you snacks too 😀when your time is up, they let you stay as long as you like on the spa bench and finish your beer which I think is really rad!

We were probably there almost an hour drinking our beer chilling out after our session ended. The lovely, incredibly friendly and helpful Hungarian and English girl had a nice long chat with us telling us about Budapest and giving us recommendations of things to do around the city.

The only thing I would suggest if they ever expanded their business is that given the option to stay several hours I would totally pay the money to do that, especially if you could order hot food or dessert and watch live sport on tv 😀 but that's like next level nirvana.

Thank you for looking after us very grateful Aussie girls, you guys were the loveliest people we met the whole time in Budapest! All the best for the business in the future, if you're ever looking for a business partner in Australia, I'd gladly invest! Here's to a very inebriated and successful future in business! xxx ❤️

We decided to book into the Beer Spa after running Budapest Marathon (god knows we needed it) and it was the best decision I think we ever made.

Service was great - the woman who took us from the main thermal baths reception was very helpful and explanatory with how to access changing cabins etc, and took us through to the beer spa.

On arrival, we tasted the malt that went into the bath (yes, you literally bathe in beer!) and were then shown to our bath and how to use the beer tap (like we need help lol). My partner and I shared a tub, and there were two guys in the tub next to us so it was quite sociable. We had thought about separate tubs as it was only an extra 10 Euros, but on reflection it was nice to be together in there. Temperature was raised on request too.

The beer flowed (although the keg needed changing after 10 minutes which did cut into our ‘unlimited beer time’) but we still managed to sink about 12 pints between us in 45 minutes. Accompanied by an ABBA playlist which was an odd but strangely well paired choice.

Extra points for the snacks that were provided, which we weren’t expecting. It was only a few squares of bread, but we hadn’t eaten since breakfast and had just run 26 miles, so it was welcomed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here (and in the thermal baths itself) - highly recommend for a treat while in Budapest.

We stumbled across this gem inside Szechenyi and it was one of the highlights of our whole Budapest trip! For about 20E, you can get into the baths and then stand in endless lines to get your locker, supplies, etc. For 44E, you get the equivalent of a FastPass to the whole thing PLUS the 45 minute beer spa bath which includes UNLIMITED BEER!!! The staff is amazing, the vibe is awesome, the bath itself is delightful and the beer is delicious (and I'm not a routine beer drinker). PLUS you get a huge changing cabin (instead of having to undress in the communal locker room) and no lines. Honestly cannot recommend highly enough!

We did this for a different experience for my husbands birthday. It was really good. We opted for a full package sort of deal and you had access to a lounge to chill out but we were under the impression there was "nibbles" in this package but you got fruit and fruit tea in the lounge and squares of oily and salty bread which is a local dish but that was it. The price was quite high for this. We loved the outdoor pools as well. We got lockers, robes and flip flops with this deal.

Other than the hottest thermal bath outside this was the best occasion on our visit to Szechenyi baths. Ample room for two friends or couples to share a tub! The water was lovely and warm and you come out feeling very refreshed. The staff are friendly and very accommodating, even after your time is up they let you finish your drinks and do not rush you to leave. And it is a unique experience all around. You get unlimited Beer for 45mins so it is totally worth the €20 (6000HUF). My only regret is that I didn't do this last as I felt better coming out of the Spa than the Baths. I didn't have a single fault with the occasion so I have to give it 5 stars.
