About
The Thermal Beer Spa is located inside Széchenyi Spa, so you have two options available to enjoy this doubly intoxicating dip. You can either enter the Széchenyi Spa in the usual manner buying a valid ticket (or book online with us for a combined ticket!), then buy the extra ticket for the Beer Spa. Or if you're feeling like you'd prefer just a soak in alcohol-filled tubs, you can enter without going to Széchenyi too. Look out for our hosts wearing green at any of the three entrances to the building & they will be happy to help you with whichever choice. There are six tubs and two people can soak in each of them, so they aren’t only perfect for relaxation but also if you want to do something memorable on a first date!

    Loved this!!
The Beer spa experience was definitely the highlight of the day. We got the pass for the beer spa and the main spa and really enjoyed the beer spa. We shared a locker room which was more than enough for both of us (see photo). The beer was low abv but tasty and the novelty of it was fun. The service was excellent. They don't rent shower shoes and you have to bring your own towel. They let us wear our Keens but they should really just rent the shoes and take the extra income. my $.02

    Worth every penny/minute
If you’re in Budapest this has to be on the list of things to experience… infact put it at the top of that list. There is nothing to say except it’s worth every penny (florint/euro/Stirling) There is a real feel good factor that comes by being treated as a VIP. And the beer is great too. Just that added bonus.

    The BEST Experience
I can’t express how good this experience was. My girlfriend planned this surprise for my 22nd birthday and I think it was perhaps the best thing I’ve done. We were served by Szilárd Sörfürdő who was really helpful and showed us around the baths. We both had a tub to ourselves but they did offer one for us to share; they are too small for 2 people haha. We had 45 mins of unlimited beer from the Czech Craft Brewery (really good lager in my opinion). They explain which ingredients go in the tub and you basically bathe in malt hops and salt (no you can’t drink the water). They also gave us some little snacks to enjoy with the beer and after our time was up the woman let us pour one last glass to enjoy in the waiting room which was very nice. Included with this was a full day entry to the Szechenyi Thermal Baths and changing room/locker so we could store all our belongings there for the day. 10/10 experience and a must do! This experience is great for a bit of a novelty factor but it’s a complete rip off with very poor service.
We visited having pre booked and wasn’t aware of having to bring own towels (they do tell you on booking in small print which admittedly I missed) but on the multiple reminders they send it’s conveniently not put in so they can charge you £10 for what I can I only describe as a large cheap flannel.
There were two people on reception, a guy who was extremely rude and offhand with everyone who just ruined our experience. He seemed very stressed out and took it out on the visitors including us by shouting. There was another lady who was much friendlier and maybe if there were two of her our experience would be a little better.
The baths themselves are ok, the beer is okay (I think it is a very low alcohol content) but the place feels tired and shabby.
Then the guy came in to tell us our time was up, and because we didn’t stand up straight away he came back 1minute later gesturing and staring at us to move.
A conveyerbelt operation which is really over priced for what it is, made worse by one extremely rude member of staff. Would not recommend! Spend the money elsewhere in beautiful Budapest.

We both thought we would be immersed in beer……otherwise calling it a beer spa is strange. We used the beer spa at Szechenyi baths and it would have been better value to grab a drink at the restaurant and get in the thermal outdoor spa. Plus…I don’t drink beer….

What a fantastic experience. We spent a good 3 hours in the Thermal spa then headed off for some beer in the beer spa. Great fun experience and great way to meet other people ...the beer gets you talking :-) Drink as much as you want...then ask for a cheeky one when your time is up ( you get 45 minutes) and you can drink it in teh waiting area.

The beer spa was great! We skipped the long queues for tickets for the main spa and were taken into a special area, shown our changing cabin and then into the beer spa room. There were 4 baths set up, but it was quite dark lighting so even though there were 3 other couples in the room it still felt quite private. Loved the bubbly water and wooden bath and it was great fun pulling your own pints of beer!! After the 45 mins were up we went on to enjoy all of the other facilities in the spa complex!

Visited Lukács Beer Spa today. Super experience. The place was very clean and hygienic. It was also nice to go somewhere away from the crowds of tourists. Would recommend to anyone visiting Budapest.

The Beer Spa sounds like a cool idea for anyone who likes beer and relaxing in a spa but it ended up being a terrible experience getting shouted at by the extremely rude English manager.

Firstly, this place is expensive. €30 per person for a tub or €50 for 2 people to share a tub. Those are the prices before you add on the entrance to the Széchényi bathes so we paid a total of €45 per person. Considering that Budapest is otherwise a really cheap place the prices are ridiculous but we thought we’d go for it anyway.

We went to the desk at reception and were met by a really nice young guy who ran us through how it would work and how to get towels and a cabin in the baths etc. So far so good.

After spending a bit of time in the main thermal baths we went through to the beer spa bit at our booked time and the women there went through all the ingredients and set up the tubs.

She then told us that the beer barrel had just been changed so the tap would splutter a bit and there would pour out some foam but then the beer would start to flow. Before getting in the bath I stood there patiently trying to pour a beer and getting glass after glass of nothing but foam. I’m not sure why this is left to customers to do rather than them having the tap ready for your booked time.

After pouring out over 10 glasses of foam the tray below the tap was almost over flowing so we got in the tubs and left it for a few minutes before trying again. This time a bit of beer was coming out but still mostly foam, pouring slowly with a titled glass was getting about a 1/5th of beer and the rest foam.

The manager came trough and tried to adjust the tap but it didn’t work, still the same result and as the drip tray was slowly draining there was nowhere for all the foam to go.

Her tone from the start was exceptionally rude and she did very little to fix the problem and instead saying that the incredibly frothy beer was fine and we should just drink it like that. We were trying to explain that you wouldn’t accept a beer with mostly foam at a bar and she just told us that we were wrong before raising her voice and saying we’d need to agree to disagree and storming out.

10 minutes into the 45 and still unable to pour a beer and with any chance of having a relaxing time ruined by the rude manager we decided to ask for a refund and leave.

We mentioned on the way out that we weren’t happy with how she’d spoken to us and she could do with a bit of training on how to deal with customers and she just shouted back ‘so could you’

As we left she shouted sarcastically at us to have a nice day. Just a incredibly unpleasant person with no idea of how to speak to customers.

Save yourself some money and get a ticket to Szenchenyi baths or one of the other beautiful thermal spas in the city and then go and have some beers in one of the many cool bars Budapest has to offer.

Avoid this place. As a couple with my wife with were given baths in a different area, not the signposted area we thought we would be in.

We were sharing a bath and paid 50 EUR for it. We were put into a small room with a huge guy who sat and stared at my wife's breasts while playing with himself. They were playing loud grime music at the time. Not exactly the fun or romantic experience we were hoping for.

The beer tap ran out half way through as well. Overall, a highly disappointing experience and not one I would recommend.

I did let the manager Lauren know but she just said she'd not let it happen again. Nothing else.

AVOID!
