This was my third day in Budapest so Bogi customized this private tour for us based on what we'd already seen and what would be of interest to us, pointing out things we would've missed on our own. So we got to see some really cool off-the-beaten-path sites with in-depth and often humorous commentary! Bogi's personality is brilliant! She really made my day, though, when she took me to a bakery where I could get fresh-baked gluten-free breads and pastries! She also suggested we visit Gellert Baths and Spa after the tour, which we did, and it was the perfect ending to a perfect day. Highly Recommend!

Thank you for the nice review Melanie! Glad you enjoyed the day and I'm happy we could hunt down that bakery :) Say hi to Peter for me and let's go to Szimpla kert together if you come back one day :)

We had a great time doing the hidden track bike tour with B Side Tours! Bogi was fun and knew a ton about the city and its history.

Bogi is an excellent guide. I was so impressed with her wealth of knowledge about Budapest. Through our tour she shared insights about the history of the city and even current events, too. She has a very direct approach, which means you know the information you're getting is the real deal -- not sugarcoated. I always appreciate that kind of candor in tour guides. I have taken walking tours all over Europe and I have to say that my experience with Bogi was one of the most memorable. Her sense of humor is great (very dry) and it really feels like you're walking through the city with a new friend. Bogi is helpful and sensitive to the needs of a tourist and will go out of her way to answer your questions. I definitely recommend taking a tour with Bogi!

Wow what a great way to experience the afternoon into the evening in Budapest with Bogi! She is refreshingly dry and honest and hilarious, and really tailored our time with her to suit our interests. We had chosen the ruin bar walking tour, and Bogi was pure entertainment the whole way. You simply must request Bogi for a fun, informative and interesting trek through this beautiful city. She absolutely started our first night off with good times and a thorough introduction to Budapest that had us set up for the following few days.

I booked a tour through another company, but as at least some of the guides from B-Side freelance, I ended up with Bogi as my guide. I am pretty hard to impress, but she was absolutely excellent. She was a wealth of knowledge and we covered so much in just a few hours. Her English is perfect. It was basically like spending the morning with a friend (one who is an expert on all things Budapest). If you are looking to book a tour while in Budapest, make sure you book with B-Side!

Well I'm glad I got to impress you then :)) For me it was the same - like hanging out with friends! Thank you, köszönöm, Bogi

I was traveling to Budapest for the first time with my mother, sister and son. I found bsidetours website and thank goodness I did. They arranged airport transfers and a city tour with Bogi on our first day there. She was great! I can’t say enough good things about her. Her English was perfect and she’s quite funny. Her tour was informative and personal at the same time. No one wanted the tour to end. She really went above and beyond showing us how to get metro tickets and explaining where the stops were, helping me make dinner reservations, and arranging a ride so we could visit cousins outside the city. We loved Bogi so much we booked another tour with her on our last day. We will definitely be back and will certainly use bsidetours tours and Bogi of course!

Seriously... over the years I’ve spent a total of a month in a half in Budapest... and I learned more about this amazing city, in 3 hours with Bogi, than I did in 45 days of wandering on my own.
A new city far from home can be a lonely place. Hungarian as a language is intimidating, the public transport system is a web of street cars, light rail, subways, busses and taxis... with no UBER to speak of. As a stranger in a strange place, there is no better way to navigate this place than to have a local by your side. B side tours has your back. Bogi makes fast friends, she is upbeat and knowledgeable armed with quick wit and encyclopedic knowledge of history And tapped into the cultural zeitgeist. Only a fool would wander alone in this city like a blind idiot. BOGI knows stuff. Really interesting stuff. That bridge you just passed? Bogi knows stuff about that bridge that would make the engineer blush. That distant hill over there? How many times did the Ottoman Empire peer down on this jewel of the Danube with malicious intent? Times up, just ask Bogi.. Did you know there are like 250 thousand block buster movies filmed here? Yea? You thought that was Berlin in Atomic Blonde? That was Bogi’s high school in the back round!!!!
Don’t be a fool. Bogi knows stuff... she knows she exact place to stand for the best pictures... one step ahead of that bus of Chinese Tourists... Bogi is like a war hero the way she leads a tour around the herds of tourists swarming that monument. Like I keep saying... Bogi knows stuff! Bogi knows where the locals eat, she will get you all up in a plate of real goulash.. not the touristy stuff... the REAL PAPRIKASH!!! Bogi’s rate was reasonable, she is friendly and personable and I can’t recommend her any higher.

I got a glowing recommendation from a friend to call Bogi from B Side Tours while me and my family we’re traveling through Budapest and it was arguably the highlight of our tour! Bogi knows literally everything there is to know about the city and its history, she is so incredibly fun and personable, and I loved how flexible she was with structuring the tour around what we wanted to see. I already can’t wait to come back for another trip and tour!

I was enticed to visit Budapest while traveling in Europe 4 years ago by a fellow guest at my BNB, from Budapest who said, “You just have to see Budapest, it’s such a beautiful city!” So, I included Budapest in our 6 week tour of Europe. I’m so glad I did. My husband & I booked a tour via B Side Tours website & communicated with Nikki (we didn’t have cellphone service). Nikki responded to my inquiries & answered my questions within minutes, which was great since we only had 3 days in Budapest. We like to be active & thought a personal walking/biking tour would be ideal so that we could get up close & customize or tour. However, I was having leg pain which made walking the whole tour impossible. I was so grateful they offered a tour with a driver/van. Our driver & our guide Bogi picked us up in a very spacious & well maintained van right at our front door of the flat we were renting. Which was such a nice added benefit that we didn’t have to try to find them in a big unfamiliar city. We did a 4 hour tour that included both the Buda & the Pest side. We walked from one attraction to another & as my leg would hurt, Bogi called the driver & he’d meet us & drive us to our next point. This made covering a lot of ground possible, even with my bad leg. Bogi was knowledgeable, personable, funny, patient & absolutely made our visit to the beautiful city of Budapest a wonderful experience. We ended our time & tour by Bogi taking us to one of her favorite Hungarian restaurants, a place we would never have just stumbled upon & we enjoyed a delicious Hungarian meal with her before her next tour. In addition, both Nikki & Bogi helped us get my husband’s coat back from the van driver that he’d accidentally left in the back of the van, which was very much appreciated and certainly a good example of how they go above & beyond to do what it takes to help you enjoy their tour & beautiful city. We both would highly recommend Bogi & Nikki of B Side Tours. Definitely worth your time & money.

I heard Bogi on an Andy Steves podcast, and when she said B Side referred to the B side of an album, I knew she was the tour guide for me. She did not disappoint. We traveled with our adult children to Budapest for the first time for a family heritage trip, and we customized a tour of Buda. Bogi picked us up with a driver in a very comfortable van and took the five of us to the suburbs of Buda so that we could see the home where my father had lived as a boy. Next we toured the Buda sights, and Bogi was very informative, entertaining, and fun! In addition to learning about Budapest, we talked music, and my daughter-in-law and Bogi enjoyed sharing boy band stories. Bogi also took us to our scheduled wine tasting at Faust Wine Cellar after the tour to make sure we could find it. She also suggested a place for dinner in the ruin pub district (Getto Gulyas) and offered to make reservations for us. She also emailed before and after the tour with information about Budapest, including music videos filmed in Budapest. We had a fantastic time with Bogi!

Dear Debbie, it was so interesting to be part of your heritage trip and find out about your past. Boybands? Yes, please! It was a super nice afternoon for me, too, glad you found the podcast and liked it, along with the tour. :) Greetings from Budapest, Bogi.
