Budapest Card is really the perfect thing to visit the museums and attractions for free or with a nice discount... also a super easy way to travel in all public transportation for free... super recommended!

Tram, subway and bus are all located here in the downtown on the Pest side of the river. We were given good information and did purchase a family pass for all means of transportation which was a good price. We used bus 16 to take us from here to the Fisherman's Bastion and back, and the subway to the Hero's square and back and the tram to the Marketplace/Gellert hill and back. Easy, clean, well marked and safe. Good deal.

The visitor center has a very convenient location, correctly where thousands and thousands of visitors are walking every they, and some of them certainly need help. For me, it was a blessing since I couldn't find the Kugler Art Gallery, but with the help of a very friendly and well-informed employee, we managed to locate it in a minute.
The center is quite large and offers many brochures and answers from the helpful staff.

Here converge unless 4 metro lines and 2 trams. Two busy thoroughfares, during the end of normal working budapesztan here is really crowded. It is also a good place to start hikes and interchange.

Can we go into the Deák Ferenc tér Budapest Info Point, Budapest, Sütő u. 2, 1052 on Monday at noon, and buy a simple book of 10 tickets for metro & tram? (Sorry but we do not want the "Budapest Card." )
Is it correct: 10 tickets for one trip on either metro or trams is about 3,000 HUF?
And can my husband and I each use 5 tickets? Or must only 1 person use all 10 tickets, so then we must buy two books of tickets?
Thank you!
