Budapest Danube River Evening Sightseeing Cruise by Legenda City Cruises

707 reviews
Take in the illuminated highlights of Budapest during an evening cruise on the Danube River, which gives you some of the best opportunities to snap photos of the city's top landmarks lit up. Float past the UNESCO World Heritage–listed riverbanks in a glass-enclosed boat, toasting the sights with an included beverage (alcoholic or nonalcoholic). Highlights include the Chain Bridge, the Buda Castle District, the Hungarian Parliament, and others, which are all put into context with onboard film and audio guides available in multiple languages.

The Christmas Markets throughout the city were an unexpected pleasure of our vacation visit. Flew in two days after Christmas and stayed until after the New Year. We had been to the markets in Lake Como and Milan two years ago and the Budapest and Vienna Markets are much larger and are sprawlled throughout the city. Vorosmarty Square is perhaps the biggest in Budapest but there are several around the Ritz Carlton hotel and Ferris wheel area that are also a lot of fun. Laid out in front of the Cathedral you can expect to find booths offering mulled wines, smoked fish, hot meals and sweets of various natures. Americans don't need to worry as English is the common language and there are signs everywhere which make it easy to get around. Budapest is a destination that is going to continue to grow in appeal to travelers. I highly recommend visiting it during this time of year.

This market is amazing! Excellent food and drink! Great entertainment. Environmentally conscious. Lots of recycling! Lots of tables around to enjoy your tasty treats. Every half hour, they featured a light show, which was 3D, free glasses provided. It was so amazing. Not sure how many there were, but at least half a dozen or more. We saw them all. Couldn't get enough of this! Be sure to have some coins for the washrooms though, as they did charge. A small price to pay, to cover the costs. If you love Christmas markets, you will love it here!
