This museum is only open from time to time - so need to check. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and one of Tartini's violins is on display.

The Memorial Room is a fitting tribute to Piran's most famous citizen. Modest entry fee. Closed Mondays. Open 9am to midday and open again at 6pm.
Great staff member Domen Erseg was 'top', so full of enthusiasm about the collection.
As one of the great 18th century composers, Tartini's violin takes pride of place . Not only musical scores but mathematical notes are there to view. He was very into scientific string theories and all that. His death mask is on display as well .
Copies of his most famous work 'The Devil's Trill' can be bought here as well at other tasteful little souvenirs.
Really worthwhile visit.

On the Tartini square there is the house where Giuseppe Tartini was born. There is a small memorial room in the house with his violin, piano.

We enjoyed our visit to this old house on Tartini Square, mainly because we like snooping. The exhibition room itself was very small, but the guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She told us all about Tartini, whom neither of us had heard of before. She played for us his most famous composition, performed on his own rare violin. She made the visit fun for us, and I hope you get to meet her too!

This place is amazing. Ok, it's just a house but on the other hand, it's not just a house.
You can see how Giuseppe lived (the rooms etc.), his piano, violin and many more.

Deffenetly worth the visit.

Tartini's violin is the star of museum and worth to enter just for it! Where elsu could you see it next time? Museum is right on the Tartini square and his statue. The entrance is from a small road at the right side of the house.
