We attempted to visit this museum four times during the three days we were in Piran during their posted hours for being ooen. Each time, they were closed with no notice of if and when they might open again.

A small exposition in 3 rooms, but still worth a visit due to the fact that the owner managed to gather many shell-samples from literally all around a world. The price is reasonable for this insight into underwater life.

We were greeted by Jan Simi, who runs the place and loved the experience: it is such a wonderfully curated exhibition that can be enjoyed by children and adults. We saw the most exquisite shells and snails- Jan explained the difference. Highly recommendable.

This is hans down one of the best museums I've ever visited. It has a facinating collection of shells, snails and other sea animals you don't even think would exist. Also the owner is amazing and funny which makes it even 10 times more interesting.

It is amazing to see how a few dedicated individuals were able to put together a beautiful shell museum like this one. That is very motivating.
