We visited this museum as had a spare 30 minutes in Piran. It did not disappoint. I will get the negatives out of the way firstly: It is quite small in size, there is no real seating available to sit/read/observe the exhibits and the English...More

Small museum with big collection of Shells. According to the information of the curator, it's the only one of such kind in Slovenia. If you know a little bit about the underwater this is the right place to know much more:). We recommend to visit.

Going up the stairs in to the relatively small museum we don't know quite what to expect - we have been caught out in the past by small, specialist museums, but definitely not this time. It is packed with a vast array of different shells,...More

Nice to see that Slovenija has an extraordinary museum. It is a small flat in the center of Piran overlooking the Tartini square. So many colorful shells and lovely presentations on the screens.

Thank you! We always change something, so maybe next time will be some not so ordinary things at our place.
