Piran is best enjoyed from above, with the wonderful and romantic views that do not disappoint. The road up to the walls is accessed behind the main square and will take you 10-15 mins to get there. Clearly the less mobile will struggle, but it is worth it. Its only a 2 euro fee to enjoy the stunning views of the endless red tile roofs and maze of streets.

Getting onto the old walls of Piran offers a very nice view of the city with all its red roofs and its couple of churches, the Slovenian coast, the Adriatic Sea and also Italy.

There are a few towers connected by old walls, and that are accessible through old stony stairs. Be careful with your head when getting there. The staircases are narrow and quite small.

Very beatufiul and amazing sights from here. I think that it's a good spot to watch the sunset (it closes at 9PM) and the sun sets around 8:30pm (in august at least). The entrance costs 2 EUR for students.

After being a bit overwhelmed by the crowds of tourists in Piran and feeling disappointed by the lack of good beach and Jellyfish in the water, we were very pleasantly surprised to get to the walls and basically have them all to ourselves. It was about 5pm and we slowly wandered the lengths of the walls. It was well worth the just 2 euro entry fee. I'm still shocked we only saw 2 other couples on there because the view was truly stunning seeing the city below on the peninsula plus Croatia to one side and Italy to the other. In any other city, such a wall would've been packed with people.

There are beautiful views of the charming Pirán/Pirano with its Venetian charm from the towers of the walls of the town at the top of the hill. Be aware with the parking in front of the entrance: it seems to see free, (there is not a machine to pay any ticket) but it is just for "authorised vehicles". We paid an amend of 40 euros. Park the car on a weekday at the sidewalk.

In October, I think we saw only one other couple on the walls. Our guide gave us good information about the history before we went into the entrance to the walls, and left us to wander on our own. The views of the city and the water were so nice from atop the walls. It is definitely a nice stop.

Very beautiful small Venetian city on the shores of Slovenia. For a quick overview one need 1.5-2h. The large parking is at the city entrance. Then you can take a free shuttle and in 10 min you are on the main square. Visit cathedral, walk on the city walls for the perfect camera shot. Many restaurants, shops, etc.

The best view of the beautiful town both during the day and at sunset. The staff is very friendly. Getting there requires a bit of walking but not as bad as you might think when looking at the walls from downtown. Depending on your physical condition, it only takes 5-10 minutes to get there, and the view is worth it. And it's a bargain: 2 euros.

Not expensive at 2 Euros but definitely worth a visit for the amazing views from the top. Catch the gorgeous horizon and the red roofed town of Piran. It's magical to just look from the top. Quite a walk upto the walls and finding your way via google maps. But it was totally worth it.
