About
Ever since the local artist Nika Stegel first opened this shop in 2015, thousands of little houses were bought by tourists and taken all around the world. Nika's tiny house is known for hand crafted products made from driftwood, making her one of the most exciting and recognizable artists in Piran. Her attelier is a minute away from Tartini squre.

The perfect Piran souvenir! Beautiful and unique artwork by Nika. She is a friendly artist who enjoys meeting her customers and knowing where they’ll take their tiny houses to. Nika paints and updates a world map with the countries of the people who have purchased tiny houses from her. When we’re back in Piran, we’ll definitely get more tiny houses to add to our collection 👌🏼

Such an inspringen story behind Nika's work. We passed by her shop late Saturday evening. We were disappointed to hear from our hotel that all shops would be closed on Sunday... well it turned out.... Nika's Tiny House shop is open on Sunday! So when we passed by We were very happy, went in and bought ourselves a new house. 😄 it'll end up in our Xmas tree full of our travel memorabilia. We are looking forward to Xmas 2023!

We spent 6 weeks traveling around Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro this summer. I have to say that going to Piran and seeing Nika making her tiny houses was one of our favourite memories. This woman is a true artist and has done such amazing work. We ended up buying one of her pieces and it is the best thing we bought on our adventures. As a teacher I am excited to share Nika’s work with my classroom because I think it is going to generate all kinds of amazing stories and art work. Thank you Nika!!

Our kids spent some lovely time at this place (workshops) and if 6 y.o. tell you that there will be “next time” at Nika’s tiny place - then you must be sure she is doing a great job ☺️
And as an outcome we all got nice houses to take home 💗
I was so impressed by her work, I bought one of her houses to my Czech friends, which just visited Piran.

Awesome idea - making souvenirs of a drifted wood. Mostly in a shape of old town houses and little boats. There are also postcards... The owner-artist is very talkative.

Just been in to purchase a reminder of our day in Piran today and purchased a lovely tiny house picture and a little ship. This is a fantastic little shop and Nika is lovely. She records the location of where every little house goes to on a huge map on the wall and in an atlas, we were delighted to be the first from Morpeth UK.
This is a must visit when in Piran and the prices are very reasonable. You can pick up a lovely unique piece of art to remind you of your visit and the lovely streets of Piran.

We met Nika on a conference trip and again on our honeymoon and love both of the pieces we bought! Her tiny houses are charming and affordable and made for wonderful reminders of the time we spent in Piran!

Stumbled at this place by accident and instantly fell in love with it! Nika’s small art pieces are just the perfect gift to take away from Piran and Slovenia to always remind you of the wonderful time you had there...each piece tells unique story and brings this romantic feeling of the tranquility...Absolutely loved it! Beautiful artwork, made out of driftwood by a local artist. All pieces are unique, and represent actual buildings from Piran. The best place to get a present for your family or friends ... or for yourself :-) Highly recommendable !

We try to visit Nika every summer!
The last 3 years we coulden‘t make it, bit this year for sure!
We love it and can‘t leave without a tiny little house!
She is very lovely and so authentic❤️
