Went with my grandmother this week. The place is very pretty and looks well maintained. Plenty of benches to sit down, too.

Garden is made for students to learn about plants they get to know during their class, but it is also very pleasant to walk in it and see all the different species of plants. Best time to visit is from May-September

Opening hours (from March until November) 10 am-7 pm, closed in December, January and February. A nice garden with many different plants from around the world. We visited this place on the 1st of May. Mainly the trees were blooming, many Magnolia trees in different colors, many kinds of pine trees with new buds and sprouts. Also the Rhododendrons were blooming. There is a big rose garden but it was too early for them. There are a nice rockery, with many different flowers. They are building an archeology park that part was still closed. There is also a small playground for children, many benches to sit down and relax. Very calm and peaceful place. The entrance fee is 4 Euros for adults. You get a map and a short description unfortunately only in Slovenian.
