In a very short time we explored the city of Maribor, discovered good restaurants .... very useful, as you do not waste time searching .We had a nice guide, a professional one. He told us a lot about Styrian wines ...me and my friends loved the Riesling. I highly recommend it....

We had so much fun today, it was an amazing time. This tour was based on food and wine, but included so much more than that. We were served with information about the local food and wine of Slovenia, but also provided a wonderful review of the sites of Maribor, like the oldest vine in the world that still bears fruit – it is over 400 years old, Maribor Synagogue - one of the oldest preserved synagogues in Europe, the Vinag wine cellar - one of the biggest traditional tunnel wine cellars in central Europe… and things to do in Maribor like going to theathre and for my friend organizing the ticket and a rental bike in local downhill mountain biking park. I hope we can go to Maribor again, it is really an amazing city with an amazing heritage, restaurants and people. Thank you, we made good memories.

Fantastic experience I had such a fun morning on the tour. It had just the right dose of everything: food, wine, and sightseeing. The guide didn’t bore us with the entire history of town and went for short presentations instead, just pointing out the interesting bits. The food and the wines were great too! I liked some more than others, of course, but there was a large variety of wine sorts, so there was something for everyone. For a 3-hour tour, the time passed really quickly, and there wasn’t too much walking either. The tour also saved me the trouble of having to find all the sights on my own, and it’s much more fun to have somebody tell you about them than to carry a travel guide with you and read up on things. The whole experience was great fun!

Dear Lovorka, thank you for your review! We're very happy to hear you enjoyed yourself. We tried to offer a wide selection of dishes and wines that represent, Slovenia to give our guest a good idea of what our country has to offer, so we understand not everything may have been your favourite, but we're glad that you liked the selection nonetheless. You're very welcome to visit out town again! Kind regards, Tasting Maribor

My partner and I stayed in Maribor for a day, so we thought we’d take a tour first and then explore on our own in the afternoon. Our idea worked out well. Our tour started at 11 am and lasted a good three hours, during which we learnt a lot about Maribor’s history. It was far easier to decide what else interested us after that. It was also just us and the guide, so we had plenty of time to chat about Slovenia. The wine was excellent, all of it local. The food was a little less regional and more Slovenian, very tasty, and we enjoyed chatting about what Slovenians consider their traditional food and what they actually eat. We enjoyed the tour a lot!!
