About
Creating memorable music experiences and city tours, Ptich is a cultural project of the Urbana Vrana Institute. It is based on the community-conscious scholarly research and everyday-life experience. While dissecting Slovenia’s Roman, Medieval, Austria-Hungarian and Communist periods, our tours focus also on contemporary social and cultural traits of Slovenia: its various music genres, subcultures, urban lifestyles, feminism, graffiti, street art, urban gardening, culinary traditions, wines, craft beers etc. Ptich tries to be a relevant part of local communities, inspecting their social aspects through in-depth research and promoting their creativity through boutique city walks, bicycle tours and music trips. Coming from the authentic local culture scene, our guides combine knowledge of history and art, on the one hand, and contemporary sociology and cultural studies, on the other, to be able to provide you with the most amazing ancient and contemporary stories.

Even though I walk trough Ljubljana's city center almost every day, 95% of information was new for me! I got to know new sculptures, meaning of the buildings that never got a lot of attention from me. It's like there is a whole side of the history in this city that I never heard about. The tour met me with it and gave me enough knowledge to start to explore it on my own.
The guide was awesome, knew what she was talking about and motivated us to think more deeply about the meaning of the seen. I am deeply thankful for this experience and would recommend it to everyone, no matter your relationship to feminism.

This tour was incredibly intriguing and eye-opening - it really emphasized how much of our history has been written by men. It offered a new perspective on a familiar city through interesting facts, stories, anecdotes from the lives of important historical figures, etc. A big thank you to our tour guide, Lena, who offered a lively and incredibly well-informed recount of events, which made this whole experience even more memorable.

An amazing walk through Ljubljana's colourful streets. Some of the works are mind blowing as are the stories about the artists who painted them.

The tour provided an fascinating insight into the street art in Ljubljana and the culture as a whole. Tour guide Sandi was excellent and I can't praise him highly enough. He has a incredible wealth of knowledge and insight. An excellent way to explore the city and street art uncovering the hidden layers and messages of the artists both style wise and political. This tour is not to be missed!

This is a tour not only about Ljubljana graffiti culture, but also a professional guide to what graffiti is all about. A lot of Ljubljana history, social movements and street art etc. is revealed in this more than a great tour! I just loved it!

As the city is quite small, you may think you explored it in few day, but the tour proves otherwise. It gives you a new perspevtive to Ljubljana, a new way to read the city.
It was a really intresting experience, within a good chosen amount of time and a charmant guide - strongly recommendable.

This free tour (with an optional tip at the end) begins in the city center and ends at Metelkova, Ljubljana's mecca of alternative culture. My girlfriend and I live in Ljubljana, and we were very happy to hear about the graffiti tour; we were even more impressed with the results. Our guide (Grega) was really knowledgeable, interesting, and funny. It was a different look at my city, and I loved it!

Awesome guide who helped to expand our knowledge of graffiti in general but expanded that knowledge to the stories involved behind the graffiti particular to Ljubljana. Lots to learn about he city through an art form formed from those passionate about their views. Great way to get away from the standard walking tour and get to know the city on a different level.

Very informative and shows another angle to graffiti. Enjoyed my tour enormously. The guide was knowledgeable and answered all questions. Would recommend for anyone who wants to see yet another side of Ljublana the city of sex and business.

Hey! Do you happen to remember any of the artist's names? I am trying to get in contact with some of them for my BA thesis on street art. Thank you!

Hi Ana, I apologise for not answering before. Your question seems to have been stuck in the backstage somewhere. So sorry about that. Here are a couple of names #1107klan #azram These two hashtags will get you started. (Though you're probably already finished with the thesis, right?) Best of luck!

la direccion o la zona de los graffiti
Written May 14, 2016
Hola Marcelo!
