There's a part of me that hesitate to write this review because I want to keep Slovenia 4 Seasons as a secret to myself. This is the best tour operator that I have ever engaged in the past decade. Andrej had been very patient in email exchange from July until October, revising, and requoting the itinerary couple of times.
As someone with Tourism background, I have to give my guide Stefan a very high marks because he excel in every aspect as a guide and even more with his attention to small details. Several days with Stefan going around Slovenia, Trieste, and Salzburg was one of the best European trip I have ever experienced.
Of all the European countries I have visited, Slovenia is definitely the most beautiful, organic, and peaceful. Slovenians are very very nice people as well whether in cities, villages, Apls, or sea side. And I have never experience a single bad food in Slovenia, even supermarket popcorn was good.
Once I experienced Slovenia with Stefan, it's difficult for me to enjoy other European countries because the benchmark is really high.
My suggestion is to visit Slovenia after you have visited all the European countries then close it with Slovenia and engage Slovenia 4 Seasons as your tour operator.

Lovely Travel agency. Andrej , the owner and CEO took personal interest and drove us
to all the important sightseeing and historic places in Slovenia , right from the caves to the Alps mountains to the beautiful lakes and rivers and nature spots. Very friendly and informative Guide. We would recommend him to everyone who wants to have a personalized sightseeing tour of Slovenia without having the stress of organizing one. Thank you Andrej once again for being such a wonderful Guide , host and companion. Best wishes - Uday & Sindhu from London.

We booked a bear watching tour with Slovenia 4 Seasons and that was a fantastic choice. The mailcontact with Andrej was very good and he answered a lot of questions coming from me. On the day itself Stefan picked us up from our hostel in Postojna and he explained a lot about the bears and Slovenia itself. He was very friendly and brought us towards a farm, where we came in touch with a family which gave us some great berry juice and we talked there and walked around a bit.
After a short time our guide Roman into the woods entered. He does not speak English, but he was very sweet. With Roman we went towards the forest into the hide. There it was really warm (because of the high temperature that day) but then we started waiting. After an hour there was nothing but some cool birds. After one and a half hours from below us a bear entered and was present for about a minute and she went back into the forest, but minutes later the same bear came again and was with us for a couple of minutes. It was so special finding a brown bear in the wild. A bit after the bear left a fox came out and half an hour later another fox showed itself for a short period. After about 2 and a half hours (from the beginning and almost before the end) the biggest bear of the area came out from across. He was also there for a couple of minutes. It was very special again. After that we went back towards the farm doing a small hike towards the car of 3 minutes or so (also on the way there).
At the farm we got the explanations about what we saw from Stefan (who translated Roman) and after that we went back towards Postojna having experienced my highlight (I am a biologist) of the month trip inthe Balkan. My girlfriend was also exptremely impressed. Seeing a bear was absolutely special, fantastic and mesmerizing. The bears were being fed a bit to keep them outside the towns. The tour is pricy, but it is all worth it. Besides a part of the money goed to conservation. This was so fantastic! If you have the time in Postojna or Ljubljana, go for bear watching!

My husband and I visited Slovenia and Croatia with friends and spent an amazing day with Stefan after having corresponded with Andrej to modify our itinerary slightly. We had a great morning in Piran Slovenia and had lunch by the ocean. We then visited Grožnjan Croatia, and although many artists had not opened for the season, Stefan made sure we met the artists who were open and we learned about truffle hunting, brandy making and other artisan products. We also met an artist and toured his gallery while he told us about upcoming exhibit in Belgium he was preparing for. We were then taking to Kabola Winery, family run for over a century. We sat on the deck in the warm Istrian sun and sampled (and bought!) several wines. We wrapped up the day with a visit to the Butori Waterfall since we didn't get to Plitvice Lakes on this trip. I can't say enough about the service, attention to detail, the beauty of the area, or the overall experience. I highly recommend Slovenia4Seasons!

We got a last minute tour to Slovenian coast from Trieste . Our concierge from Savoia Excelsior Hotel had a good job booking a private tour with hotel pick up in a very comfortable microbus. Our guide was fantastic, Stefan Rehar . He has a first class english and very convenient in his explanations. It was lovely half day tour . We stopped in Piran where we had lunch .

Do yourself a favor and book a tour with Andrej! My daughter and I traveled to the Adriatic Sea coast and inland to Croatia from Ljubljana on a 9 hour tour. Andrej texted me the day before and was waiting for us in our hotel lobby early. We were the only ones on the tour as it is the slow season (February). Andrej set us up at each stop showing us major sites/areas and explained options of what we could do during our self led exploration time. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Slovania and each town we visited. We are American and he explained things with references we could easily understand. You can tell Andrej is passionate about what he does. I wish we hadn’t booked another tour for tomorrow so he could take us on another tour. If I am ever back in this region he will be the first person I reach out to for more adventures. I have zero negatives to note in this review. There are too many pictures to post showing our incredible day!!!

We did the 'trip to 3 countries' (Slovenia, Italy, Croatia) and had such a great day, which thanks to Stefan completely surpassed our expectations. He was extremely knowledgeable, teaching us so much on the journey - but also a really nice guy who made sure he adapted the trip to best suit our interests and schedule. We had plenty of time to ourselves to wander around the different sights and Stefan also had some great recommendations for shops, cafés and restaurants in each place (again, suited to our tastes and needs and away from tourist traps). As someone else has mentioned, despite the trip involving 3 countries it was somehow a really relaxing day. Definitely recommend this trip and a big thank you to Stefan for making it the perfect end to our Slovenia trip.

Reflecting over our trip to Slovenia... one of the highlights was definitely the bear watching.
The organisation was very good and some bears kindly showed up. One bear really stayed around for a long moment and gave us quite a show!
And thank you so much to Štefan. What a great personality! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge about the country, it's history, it's beers, it's great people, places to visit, nice restaurants and so much more.
We highly recommend this experience!!!

We hired Andrej to take us on a day trip from Trieste to Slovenia, and could not have been happier. From the comfortable van, with good visibility and lots of leg room, to the itinerary, we were very pleased. We started with a visit to the caves, and then to Lake Bled and Tito's retreat, with a delicious cream cake stop. Such beauty. He knew everyone, and got us into places we'd never have known about. When we got to Ljubljana, he was so passionate and proud of his country's history and culture, from the amazing architecture of Jože Plečnik, to the beautifully arranged holiday lights in the old town, the day was truly delightful

Great experience. Our guide, Bart, was a fountain of knowledge, professional and on time. So much better than driving ourselves. From Trieste we saw Rovinj and Grisignan one day and then Postojna Caves, the castle, Ljubljana and ending in Zagreb the next day. Bart knew a perfect viewing spot where we could see 3 countries (see photo). Custom private tour is the way to go. Would highly recommend their service.

Are the seats in the van comfortable?
How is the view from the middle seat?

Van was very comfortable, but view from middle seat not so great. You are also seated quite high up, so if you are a taller person, even sitting next to the window means having to slump a bit in seat or crank your neck a little. But otherwise very good. Cheers
