Many stores in the southern end of the street sell handcrafts, very creative ones so visit them, its not the usual tourist things, so there will be something for any taste.

If you visit Ljubljana, do not miss to walk this part of the city. Pleasant preserved the spirit of the old town, a view of the fort from the base is fantastic.Be sure to enter the City Hall and view an exhibition on how to Ljubljana changing.

We stayed in a flat on this street and we could not have asked for a better location to stay in Ljubljana. The street is the heart of the old town, filled with shops and restaurants but it is one street off of the river banks so it is not loud enough to keep you up at night. If you... More

One of the main square or even street in the old city. A lot of wonderfully renovated buildings from different periods. Just walk and wonder how it is nice.

This square is what i imagine Ljubljana to be like, definitely worth a visit. If you go to Ljubljana you'll not miss it, this is in the centre (old town) which is not very big !

Mestni Trg is one of three old town streets or squares that follow the base of castle hill. There was a statue with three titans representing the three major rivers of Slovenia, the Sava, the Krka and the Ljubljanica. Nice for a stroll.

As early as the 12th century, medieval Ljubljana recognized this square as one of its major ones. Earthquake activity (1500's) demolished much of the original architecture; subsequent rebuilding gives the square the buildings seen today. The Town Hall and Robba Fountain are the keystones of the square.
