The museum has around 60 interesting and interactive experiments. The crew is really friendly and explains you what to do if you are stuck at some place. There even was a science show on momentum, in Slovene, but one of the employees translated it for me.

This museum is extraordinary, by square foot, probably the best in the world. I am a scientist myself and a fan of visiting science museums wherever I go, so I have been in dozens of them. This museum is fairly small, the size of a large house with 5-6 rooms. Nonetheless, it is packed with dozens of interactive experiments. In a family trip to Ljubjana, I figured out that it was better for my 3 yrs old daughter to be indoors that wondering around the city with my extended family, so we headed to the House of Experiments. I was glad they lent me a 50 pages booklet in English with the explanation of most of the experiments and then we spent 3-4 hrs having fun playing with the displays. My daughter spent an hour on their erosion display: a simple acrylic box full of sand, a water pump to bring the water to the top and a plastic shovel to bring the sand to the top once the water eroded it to the bottom. Simple, but beautiful. Just one example of the many beautiful displays that they have. Congratulations to the creators! In an unassuming manner, you excel at teaching science. A skill that many multimillion dollar flashy museums miserably fail at.

A great hands-on experience that kept me and my son (under 10) occupied for a couple of hours - way longer than the 45-60 minutes that the website suggests to allow for a visit. We still didn’t get round everything (partly because my son spent so long on his favourite experiments), so it was my son’s first choice to visit again the next day. Good information in English, and for every experiment there is more detail available in English via a QR code. Informative and fun

A really cute and homey museum. A lot of fun for people of all ages, not to mention it is highly educational. The staff were super friendly and made efforts to explain everything clearly and in English as well. Highly recommended!!!

When my wife and I mentioned our friend that we are planning to take our kids to Italy, the first thing she said: “You must stop in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and visit the House of experiments (Hiža eksperimentov)”. I told her that we were in Ljubljana many times and although I think the town has charm I didn’t think that my children there have something special to see and do. But she didn’t stop talking about that House and she even gave us some materials to read. After a few days I read this script and I was delighted and immediately hooked. Why? Primarily, because of the originality and simplicity of the idea itself. I also visited their website (http://www.he.si/) for additional information (address, ticket prices, parking nearby etc.) and it was nice to see that they have a Croatian language version. After a thorough check, I didn’t doubt for a second and decision was made, we would stop in Ljubljana and visit the House. Be careful, House is open for individual visits only on Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00 to 19.00. Considering that we arrived in town too early (we were the first guests in the House that Sunday morning) we were expecting a lukewarm welcome because normal human beings are grumpy on the Sunday morning. But quite the opposite, we were met by super friendly staff. Really, I can’t find enough nice words to speak highly of them. When they heard that we are from Zagreb (Croatia) they immediately offered us materials in our language and sincerely put themselves at the disposal for any additional help. The official ticket price is 6 euro (free for children up to 5) but we got a fine discount. Once again thank them for that. The house is not big (3 floors) and at the same time it does not fit too many people. But size doesn’t matter, content is important and that was the essence of everything. All in all, great time spent, either for children and parents.

This is absolutely one of the best science from professionals to average public display museum. They are physics and can explain almost anything.

Making up for its diminutive (for science centers) size, this gem of a venue features world class science public outreach that is informative, interesting, entertaining and fun. If one does not bring their family and friends to this venue, they do a disservice to all.

A truly unique mini museum / science lab in which kids can get to grips with all sorts of fun experiments and trials to demonstrate science in a fun and engaging way. The staff are excellent; friendly and informative and the overall homespun vibe of the museum is testament to the vision of whoever founded it - well worth a short visit!
