Most traditional central park in the hart of Ljubljana, always full of pedestrians and their four-legged friends. Green environment and fresh air are the main characteristic of this park which was established between both world wars. There are also a lot of sports content in...More
Tivoli park is huge. You can walk around for hours if you would want. There are many things in the park like the Zoo and cafes but also little lakes and hills. Ideal if you want to spend sometime outside in nature not to far...More
For some reason we didn't get to Tivoli Park in 2013.......but sure managed to meander through and around it during our recent 5 day visit.
It's just beautiful.................and relaxing and easy to get to from the town center....or one of the neighborhoods close by.
Hi I’m going to Copenhagen in Aug & plan to see & do the usual things plus trip to Malmo We are finding Tivoli Park website very confusing- please can someone explain what it is in English? Are the rides on par with Alton towers or is it just a small basic fairground? The gardens - again what is this like? Formal garden with trees & flowers? We are trying to decide whether we go or not Thanks

Hi, I've never been to Alton Towers (and never heard of it), but Tivoli is much more than a basic fairground. According to Trip Advisor Travelers' Choice 2017 Tivoli Gardens is the 3rd best amusement park in Europe. Tivoli Gardens is a relatively small place, as it's located very centrally in Copenhagen, but there's plenty of things to do there. "Landscapes of Serbia" photo exhibition in Tivoli Park (1 Reply)
How do you spend a rainy Monday in Ljubljana when many of the museums are closed? I decided to wander over to Tivoli Park in the rain, and I was pleased to stumble upon the huge "Landscapes of Serbia" photo exhibition in the park by photographer Dragoljub Zamurovic. There are about 100 huge photos outside in the park itself, by one of the museums as you enter the park. They are amazing photos - beautiful scenes of Serbia. What a nice surprise to find a photography exhibit in a public park!...More

Yes, that promenade from the railway underpass at the Modern Gallery to the Tivoli Castle always has some nice photo exhibition.
Ride a bike through the Tivoli park and to the castle? (2 Replies)
Considering a ride from Rijeka (Croatia) to Postojna and possibly Ljubljana. If I can even make it that far I will only have the time to ride to the castle and through Tivoli park. Would just like to check whether bikes are allowed in both places? And are there some must-see spots near by?

Bikes are allowed in Tivoli. You can also use the road to the castle.
