We stopped here for a coffee and to kill some time before booking in to our hotel. Easy cheap parking and beautiful walks on well maintained paths.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 30, 2023

It is a great place to get away from the crowds of the old town for a stroll, a picnic or simply to sit and read a book. Frequented by locals as well as tourists there is even a coffee shop. Nice to have a green space close to the city centreVisited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 6, 2024
- Eric_B_791 contributionsNice park to spend a couple of hours but take mosquito spray!Nice park to wander around. Make sure you are equipped with anti mosquito spray as they are everywhere. Saw red squirrels, which are becoming rarer all the time. You can easily spend a couple of hours walking around. Plenty of shady spots to rest when its too hot. Nice place to take a break, and walking distance in a straight line from the triple bridgeVisited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 3, 2024

Visited this park in December. The place is huge and one of the few green spaces in the city, located about 15 to 30 minutes walk from the tourist centre of the city. If you want a break from all the old buildings and want something green, the park is a good place to have a walk and just enjoy the scenery. The park is huge though so depending on how long you want to spend here, don't walk too far away.

A park at the center of the city. Is connected to the center via a tunnel bridge for pedestrians making a great walk to walk. Parking at Tivoli os just 0,60€ per hour and its a great spot to start you tour around city.

This very nice park which continues to the woods and leads to different parts of the city is a great spot to relax, hike, make a picnic, go to the zoo.. NOT many cities have this kind of nature in their center - unspoild and natural! In this park you can also swim, sauna, concert venue, skate on ice in the winter, small botanical garden...but most of all is valued for a real nature. You should go to the nearby Cankarjev vrh hill (also visit the room of the slovenian gratest writer Cankar). Could be filled with people on the weekends,

A great open air park right in the heart of Ljubljana's city center. Kind of reminds you of the huge city parks in NYC or Boston. Lots to see and do, a great kids park, and a few watering holes as well if you need a refill. Bathrooms might be a little hard to find, but it's walking distance from the main part of the city center with it's great bars and restaurants and cafés. Recommended if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and want to take in some green scenery. Also lots of nice paths for running or bike riding, with uphill and downhill options as well

This huge park is located on the western edge of the city. As if the city of Ljubljana wasn't nice enough, this park adds a touch of green oasis. The park is filled with paved walking paths. It's mostly flat, but there are some hilly bits which can be avoid. The park is filled with gardens, sculptures and historic buildings including Tivoli Castle, Cekin Castle and Tivoli Hall. Walking around the park could easily fill a couple of hours even if you're in a hurry.

A nice park where you can walk around the edges with your luggage, or through the central areas probably without luggage unless you do not mind a slight challenge with the gravel paths.
Looks great for a run or bike ride! Some of the best tennis and basketball courts you could ever want.
Regarding buses, you MUST go to Ljubljana Bus Station (also the same place as the Train Station) for buses to Lake Bled, NOT here or the edges of Tivoli Park as they do not stop here any more!!
By chance, we flagged one down, but we are 99% sure this was a unique exception rather than the rule.

A wonderful park! I love a park in a city that when you enter all you hear are birds and the wind. There are sporting options at the front of the park (tennis, basketball, soccer, etc) and so many trails that wind around the park. The hills are no joke. There are some pretty steep ups and downs. It’s a peaceful place where i didn’t see many people while in the woods. This is a treasure of Ljubljana.

New buildings with swimming pool are another blow to the edge of interesting park. People need to go closer to the hill and forest in the summer. It is really hot these days. Peaceful or nearly peaceful parts are from Tivoli castle up to Rožnik hill. Parts near the railway and crowds are noisy. So: go, walk and find your own nice part.

This park is really pretty huge, and we were exploring it in the rain. So our experience wasn't as favorable as it would have been during great weather. But the park itself is really nice with lots of paths, fountains and sculptures, a wide variety of mature trees, and lots of birds.

Can you please give me some information about the Rihard Jakopic statue in Tivoli Park, Ljubljana?
Written March 3, 2019
I can tell something about Jakopic himself, I'm not sure who is the author of the statue. Jakopic was leading Slovenian impressionist of his time. Student of Vienna school of fine arts. His pictures are known locally as well as in the wider region.

Can you please tell me about the statue of Rihard Jakopic in Tivoli park, Ljubljana?
Written March 3, 2019
I’m sorry but I didn’t remember or see the statue. I walked many miles through the park to the church on the hill to taste potica. Rihard Jakopic was a Slovene impressionist painter. The park is wonderful for meandering and just getting lost for the day.

Not sure, but there is an indoor swimming pool

Beh devo essere sincero, non so se c è un area apposita. Ma nel complesso i servizi igienici sono ben puliti, e nella maggior parte per accedervi è necessario un piccolo pagamento (50 cent/1 €)

I was on foot, but I noticed they had traffic gates, so I'm guessing there might be modest parking fees, at least in the main lot
