This unique bridge is a group of three bridges across the Ljubljanica River connecting the medieval old town with the modern city of Ljubljana on the north bank. The central bridge is the largest and flanked by two footbridges at a slight angle on each side of it. When viewed from the riverside, the bridges form appealing geometric lines.

We crossed this bridge numerous times during our stay in Ljubljana. The best time to enjoy the bridge and associated scenery is on an early morning stroll before your groups arrive. You can truly capture the beauty of this bridge

This place was humming with activity even when we visited even in early March 2023. Its probably the central hub area of the old town.
It is between Stritarjeva ulica and Preseren Square.
It used to be just one bridge but the two outer spans were added to allow pedestrian access. The area is now a pedestrian zone which is excellent for tourist access along with locals alike.
I found it almost impossible to get a decent photo of all three bridges together. You would need a drone to this. I tried on many angles to get a decent photo of the three but couldn't.
Still, its right in the heart of the city with lots of amazing buildings near it and lots of shops, cafes and restaurants as well.
A must do and see when in town.

From where we stayed, we certainly crossed this bridge several times. It is pretty enough, but perhaps I don't fully appreciate the architecture of it. It is a landmark in the city, though, so worth seeing, especially since it is central to the city.

3 bridges connect the old and new parts of Ljubljana city, such an unique thing to see and do.

Not sure the reasoning or logic for the 3 bridges designed like this, but does make for an interesting view and walk across the different angles of the bridges.

Lots of people taking photos and very busy area so try to see early in the morning of possible.

The Triple Bridge is a must see while exploring Ljubljana. Located in the main square of Old Town, this area offers so many nice views of the river, along with the historic Franciscan Church of the Annunciation. You’ll see many people taking selfies, as well as more serious photographers clicking away. This place is perfect as a meeting point for groups of travelers. If the group separates, you’ll only need to follow rivers and look for signs. While visiting this area, be sure to checkout some of the local restaurants and cafes.

The main bridge in Ljubljana that every tourist must visit as it connects two main squares between the old and new town. It is also the widest pedestrian bridge across the river due to its name and due to its status, it is always crowded with people.

Gives you a good view of the river and the different attractions, and is usually quite festive. Really enjoyed the atmosphere here.

There are architects who, thanks to their creativity, change the face of their city. In Barcelona it happened with Gaudi, in Valencia with Calatrava, in Ljubljana with Jože Plečnik. He was ahead of his time and planned the city centered on man. He created large public spaces, parks, libraries, bridges, even the city's monumental cemetery and for this reason his works were registered on the UNESCO site in 2021. The Triple Bridge is a magnificent example of this.

My wife and I saw the triple bridge while on the free walking tour led by Tina which was great.
I found the history behind the bridge really interesting.
The architect Jože Plečnik was asked to demolish the original bridge due to the increased amount of traffic back in those days.
He found the bridge do beautiful that he refused and suggested building 2 pedestrianised bridges either side of the original and keeping the architecture the same.
It is really nice to see.

I have no idea why this bridge was tripled when built, but this makes it an interesting thing to watch. I however only rank this bridge as the second bridge of Ljubljana, right behind the dragon bridge that stands a few hundreds metres further away. I recommend going there, walking across the river through one of the bridges, and checking the architecture of the surrounding buildings.
