If you are not looking for the ordinary church this is a place where you should go. You could be lucky and a traditional Slovenian wedding could take place. Take some time as the ceremony could be longer as expected. The interesting time for making the visit is after the Christmas when an opportunity to see Slovenian “Jaslice” arise every... More

This church is actually a working monastery and it is not uncommon to see the robed priest walking in the area. Its beautiful stone face is worth seeing but entry is often difficult as hordes of tourists use the entry stairs as a sitting place in Preseren Square

Even though it dominates the square, you could pass by and not notice. Tree-shaded steps lead up to the front door. The interior is impressive with mid-19th century ceiling frescos and enough Baroque features to sink a battleship. Not to be missed.

This building is probably the most photographed sight in Ljubljana because it's always in the background while you're taking a picture of Tromostovje or Presernov square or Ljubljanica river canal. Nice architecture and unusual colour makes it really stand out for itself.

The pink Church as the tourist person called it is the first major building you see as you walk from the bus station. It is beautiful a warm colour standing proud in the central square. Walking up the steps you come into an ornate cool space. It is impressive and peaceful.

A lovely building, to me much more impressive than the cathedral, which you could easily pass by without realising what it was.

10th April 2016. It is so pink outside one is not sure what one will fine inside! In fact it is beautifully, and quite sumptuously decorated. Masses of marble and gold leaf everywhere. Huge twisted marble pillars on the massive altar. Worth a visit.

Right in the centre, a very imposing building with an interesting interior. To my mind it is a much more impressive building than the Cathedral over the river. If you can do see it at night as it is beautifully lit.

Great place to wander day or night. Be sure to take some night shots. Lots of restaurants and people, but not crowded or rowdy.
