No other way recommended if taxi is what u need.
U hail a taxi at Ur risk. U will be charged more. Don't ask me why? One of the few quirks in Ljubljana!!
I to the mini bus GO-OPTI coming into the city from the airport. Clean efficient. €10.

Thank you for using our services. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with us. We try our best to offer the best possible experience to all our customers visiting Slovenia.
As you mentioned, taking a random taxi from the street or the airport can be quite costly, its is best to call or book your taxi in advance. Usual waiting time for a call-in taxi service in Ljubljana is only 10-15 min. Calling or ordering your taxi online, gets you the lowest price with most taxi and transfer services in Slovenia.
GO-OPTI is also a good way to get into the city, but requires some waiting until the shuttle fills up completely, after that there is a bit of driving around as they drop off each passenger at its destination. They charge from 10€ for person onward.

I ended up arriving very late (way after they were scheduled to pick me up) due to a delayed flight and unfortunately I wasn't able to notify them about the situation.
To my great surprise the cab driver was waiting for me at the airport - he actually took the time to keep an eye on my flight and knew I'd be running late.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! You saved me a ton of troubles.
