This street is in the new part of Ljubljana and runs from the train station all the way to the river. Some of the finest Art Nouveau buildings of Ljubljana are on this street including Grand hotel Union, Public Loan Bank Building (Ljudska posojilnica) and Cooperative Business Bank (Zadružna gospodarska banka). There's no need to go out of the way to see it though, unless you're into architecture.

Miklosiceva Street runs in between the railway Station and the Triple Bridge. When I arrived in Ljubljana, I was too lazy to search the name of Resljeva Cesta, that I wanted to use to go from the Railway station to my accommodation. Even if I didn’t remember the name of the street I was looking for, I was sure, that isn’t Miklosiceva, but because the direction was right, I started to walk on it. It was a beautiful welcome from Ljubljana. I can’t think about another street that is so full of splendid houses, like Miklosiceva. Here are the two famous financial buildings, the Cooperative Business Bank, and the beautiful bank of the Public Loan Bank. These and many others were built in Vienna art Nouveau style, with sculptures, reliefs, and the play of different colors. Also here are the representatives of Art Deco style, the Graphics Palace, the House of Mutual Insurance, the City Palace, the Palace, whose front of adorned with reliefs, the richly decorated Regali House the Krisper House with its tower and oriel and the late baroque Bamberg house,.
Passing by these exhilarating buildings made my walk stimulating and delightful. This is the street you must walk on because otherwise, you miss the significant portion of the

Street which will lead you straight from the Presern square and Tromostovje to the railway and bus stations.
Amazing architecture can be found along the way.

Miklosiceva Cesta runs between the poetic triple bridge and the less poetic railway station and almost offers more beautiful buildings than Barcelona.

The big question is: What do you call the the architecture….?

One of many wonderful walking streets in the old town. The variety of buildings, some art deco, some more traditional. I just know what I like when I see what I like.

Some of the Art Deco buildings in this gorgeous street are some of the finest I have seen for years and give a real contrast to the older Baroque architecture that dominates the city.
The Galleria Emporium and the Hauptman Buildings are just perfect examples of 1905 architecture and worth a photo or two.

This is the most direct route out of the old town to link up with the main bus and railway stations that I could find. If you use GoOpti for airport transfers they have there own private pick-up/drop-off point here so its a very convenient 10 minute walk straight into Presernov square. Make sure you dont discard this innocent looking street transfixed with heading into the old town. If you look up you'll see some fascinating Art Nouveau and Secessionist buildings, some of the best I've seen.

Miklosiceva Cesta has several very nice Art Nouveau Style buildings. Off of Presernov Sq between the Franciscan church and the Shopping Galleria.

We bought the Ljubljana Card and it saved us lots. All of the sites we visited in Ljubljana that had an admission were included along with boat tours, public transport, and walking tours. Great Value!

You can walk from one side of the street to the other in 15 minutes and admire some fine buildings in art nouveau style as Union Hotel. You can admire Franciscan church and people walking around. This one of the important streets in Ljubljana, with some average shops and restaurants, one good shop near the Prešeren square and one good restaurant J. B. near the northern side of the street.
