There are many walking routes around or by the lake. In summer you can rent a boat or a pedalino, the "brave" ones can swim, you can go fishing and in winter you can ice skate. There are a couple of caffes by the lake,...More

The lake and its surroundings offer plenty of starting points for a walk or hike with places to rest, eat and refresh. You can rent pedal-boats and in some bays even take a dip. It is not the nature experience you can expect from Slovenia...More

I often go for a walk here. Although this lake is artificial, it's still worth visiting it. If you're lucky enough, you might even encounter ducks (even in the winter). :)

Really close to city center, accessible with car, public transport, bike, even walking. Great nice lake, with walking trails around. Also with floating bridge and tables around for more information. Some bars on each side, but no restaurants, sadly. One can borrow a sup. Swimming...More

Nice place for a walk with children. The paths are good, kids can run around. You can get a coffee or something else to drink in place nearby.

If you come with a paddle board it's better to park closer to the lake, but it's hard to get a nice parking spot if you come too late. Otherwise, there are enough parking spots just a short walk away (a bit too far to...More

I visited this part of Slovenia in February, which means a lot of snow. A lot, a lot of snow. In lack of possible outdoor activities, I decided to visit the lake. It was hard for me to find it (Google Maps are miss-guiding you...More

Almost always you can see many swans on the lake. Usually there are between 18 and 21 swans. Around the lake there is a path and you cross the lake on pontoon bridge. All the way there are information panels on plants and animals.

This was my first visit. We had problem with parking, not so good organized catering offer, but very friendly personality. Maybe we just came at a bad day, or not optimal access point. I will come again.

No, not directly on the lake. But I saw fishermen with tents, sleeping on the bank (so if you have fishing permit, I believe you can also discuss tenting). But there is an organised camping site approx 5 km from the lake... More

You can go by bike from Nova Cerkev. Trail goes trought Vojnik, then right, after a litlle hill left into the forest. After 2 km you will be by the lake.
