About
Straza is a smaller hill most suitable for a relaxing walk and summer or winter sport activities. It is considered to be the most beautiful viewpoint in the area that offers incredible view of the city of Bled, lake Bled, castle and surrounding mountains. In summer you can enjoy in adrenaline-drenched sledding (summer tobogganing), visiting Adventure Park or taking a ride with the tube, tuba jump or free fall simulator. You can take a relaxing walk through meadows and woods on the Rikli Fitness Trail. In winter you can ski on a small, but settled ski slope that is lit for night skiing and offers organized ski school, equipment rental and Sporty's Children Snow Park. Straza ski slope is accessible by car or by foot as it is only a few minutes' walk from the center of Bled. The resort is closed in a heavy rain.

Thrilling experience, Highly recommended for adults of all ages.
We got to Straza Bled soon after opening time and decided to buy a toboggan only ticket without the chairlift. The reason for the this is that the queue for the chairlift was long and we didn’t want to wait in the hot sun with no shade. We got told that it takes only a few minutes to climb up to the hill which was not correct. We spent just under 30 minutes climbing up the hill this included stopping several times to rest for a few minutes. Once at the top it took about 10 minutes to get on the toboggan which was fine. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride down it was thrilling especially for us as we were both over 50! I would recommend it and we also got a sense of accomplishment because we were able to climb to the top and didn’t have to wait ages in the queue for the chairlift

    Speeding down hill
We had 2 runs each on the toboggan, children are up to 14 years old for pricing. It’s a short walk up from the lake shore to the car park and chair lift. The chair runs quite slowly and the queue takes a long time. There is a fast queue for 2nd and 3rd runs, everyone queues for the first time up the chair. They load 2 people on one chair and then the next two chairs each are loaded with a toboggan going back up so that is slow. The toboggan itself is pretty good, they leave enough of a gap that you are unlikely to catch up with the car in front. There are some pretty steep bits and if you do choose to go fast you will be jostled around and could get quite a sore back. Would recommend 2 runs as one is not really enough

    Exhilarating activity
A good activity that takes upwards of an hour. We attended on a beautiful September day, so possibly worst of summer traffic was gone. 10 minute uphill walk from the lake side, parking also available. Various ticket options - gondola only to the top - fantastic view of lake; gondola with 1 ride / 2 rides / 3 rides with the more rides you committed to at the start, the cheaper the pro Rita price of each ride. No queue for gondola to top. Slight wait at top as people in front were strapped into cart and given operation instructions. Safety was quite good, with plenty of staff around. Ride was quite exhilarating, even for adults! Paid €30 for 3 rides.

    Great summer toboggan experience
LOVED the summer toboggan experience! It’s been years and years since we last did a summer toboggan in Austria, so when we saw the sign for this we were really excited! A reasonable hike up a steepish hill in late afternoon and we arrived at the bottom of the chair lift. Paid €19 each for two goes each and set off. Loved the chair lift to the top - great views looking back over Lake Bled. Short wait at the top to get strapped in, and we were off! Absolutely loved it!! Went much faster on go two when I’d got the hang of it a bit more. Really well organised and plenty of staff on hand, but can completely see how chaotic it might get in high summer with lots more people as the chair lift is also the method by which the toboggans get transported back up to the top.

As we were staying more that 3 nights in our Hotel this qualified us for a local discount card which got you 2 rides for the price of one on the ski lift and toboggan ride. The ski lift up is a gentle ride with great views of the lake from the summit. The toboggan ride back down is a blast and you control how fast or slow you go, the contrails are real easy and are explained before you set off. Secure and caps or sunglasses as we saw a few blow off and you can’t retrieve them!
At the bottom is an automatic camera, the prints are 4 euros which is a bargain. Great fun, loved it

Besides the view from the hill, as with just about every lookout point in the Lake Bled area, there are also nice activities for the whole family.
A roller coaster, an open chairlift, a ropes park and lots of short hiking trails.
Most comfortable to reach the hill with a private car.
There is even a nice little cafe.
You can spend half a day here, it is worthwhile to combine additional attractions in the lake area.

When looking for things to do in Bled, I came across this. It's such an adrenaline rush.

For only 8 euros, you get the ski lift up to the top of the hill, at the top there are some amazing views of the lake and mountains.
The toboggan ride itself is such a rush, you control the speed yourself so you can go as fast/slow as you like. Obviously, the faster you go, the greater the feeling, and it is something I would definitely go back to do again.

It was very cool!! 10 Euro was a bit expensive for a few seconds of fun: we went by lift up to the hill and then down by the slide. You also had a great view from the top of the hill. I think it is rather intended to be a children/teenager activity, though.

We went with our two kids ages 9 and 12 on the Straza Bled and had a great time! After you buy tickets, you get in line to take the lift to the top of the track. There's a gorgeous panoramic view of Lake Bled from the top! We each got our own car (I think kids 8 and under have to ride with someone 15 or older) and had a blast! There's a hand brake in the car so you can slow down or keep going fast, as you wish. Don't forget to check out your photo at the end next to the ticket desk!!

After several days of rain tobogganing was open. But although queue was not long kids were waiting for more than half an hour as the staff would allow only every fourth chair to be seated thus making gondola work at only 25% capacity.
Avoid
Bad.

Be wary of the queue in August. When we first arrived around 11.30am the queue was around 150 people long. The queue moves painfully slowing. After 90 minutes we still had a good 90 minutes of queing ahead of us in 26c sunshine, with limited shade and only 1 bench to sit on. No refunds are available, so we decided to abandon and spend our last day in Bled more productivley. Its odd that the owners dont let their customers know how long it will take to get to the front of the queue. I also foumd out that when you get to the top of the hill you have to queue again. So, in peak season you are effectivley paying to stand up for nearly four hours!
